I know I've seen it somewhere before. And Chester has said he loves Easier to Run. Couldn't link you though.

You're probably referring to his soloing in KTTK, which gets kind of random in the final chorus. But I agree with Michele, the genre doesn't demand complex guitar. It's one thing to talk about how fast someone can move their fingers on a fret board, it's another thing to talk about being able to write guitar to everything from All for Nothing to the Three Band Terror demo to TLTGYA.

I've never seen it anywhere man. Also LPA did an April fools where they made a joke that phoenix hates easier to run. I hope its not that :p

Also, does someone else know what this guy is talking about? I've heard Phoenix say he doesn't like listening to bass solos so he doesn't play them but nothing about easier to run.

Comments on the clip of Chester's injury: "again?", "he hurt his ankle again?", "didn't he just have surgery on that ankle?".

Seriously people? Are you really this stupid?

Btw, I'm not talking about anyone here, I'm talking about Instagram comments ;)

True, but the original track is already Nu-metal enough.

Broman and his expertise. I should have known to wait

I connect a lot with what he says about theory, but I also don't know nearly as many scales as I should know.

His final point, that music should always be fun, I definitely disagree with. Learning to play an instrument or otherwise create music well takes training (even if it's all on your own) and the discipline to stay as thorough and consistent as you can be about that training. Trying to wait until you feel just right and for circumstances to be just right in order to write or practise or play isn't always the ideal way to go. A lot of time, that leads to procrastinating, simply because not everything goes easy and smoothly and that idea can be worrying enough to make you put things off. There are times when you just have to really buckle down and push through doubt, stress and mental fatigue in order to get something done.

I don't really think that was the point he was trying to get across. It seems to me that he was saying you shouldn't create and play music if it doesn't feel right to you. That you shouldn't always try to make the most technical and skillful sounding music if you don't enjoy making it. That you should let your emotions and feelings flow through the music your playing instead of worrying about how technical this guitar part is, which I definitely agree with.

Okay, wait. I jumped to conclusions. I'll admit I didn't listen to the full thing because I've had my full share of Nu-metal tracks and agreed with Gravedigger388,
thinking it WAS System from the Queen of the Damned OST, simply remixed, but it most definitely is not. Wtf is that?
It sounds just like Chester from HT/Meteora era.
