What kind of maths?

Or just everything.

Right now it's basic algebra.

6x - 3 = 4 + 8x, find x

It's annoying because it's so simple, yet I have to keep telling my mom that and she won't believe that every problem is essentially the same thing.

I really don't want to deal with this for another month and a half.

I can't wait to start my job.

 

i think i learnt that in 8th grade...yeah singaporean schls are brutal

I can't remember any maths. 2 1/2 years maths free has been a fantastic journey.

 

yeah i know the feeling, why cant it be like language something you can use everday and not forget

Oh, wow, I didn't learn that until 9th grade, I think.

I'm hopefully going to be working at a small convenience store down the road from me. I'm pretty convinced I'll be hired here in the next week or so. I already talked to the manager and he gave me that vibe that he was going to hire me. It doesn't hurt that I worked there before, too.

I know, right? I did math last term (August - December '07) for the first time since I graduated in June 2005. It was brutal enough, and now I've got to help my mom? Ugh. I guess that's the price I pay for not being in school myself right now; I've got to help my mom get through her desire to go back to school.

 

I've had one week off my Sport & Exercise Science degree and I need to build up a desire to go back instead of sleeping all day.

Fucking 10am lectures.

 

Ditto. Except some of my lectures are 8:30.

Law FTL.

 

I hear you. I tried scheduling all my courses for the afternoon. But that almost never worked out, because then I was always awake later into the night, so I was still tired the next day anyway.

 

Aye.

The only comfort is it's almost over. And then 2 years of Physiotherapy.

'Kinell. It's looking bleak for me folks.

Don't be surprised to see me have a breakdown of sorts.

 

At least you haven't got another four years to go. Then a year of shit pay and shit hours at a clerkship.

 

It's not really all so bad so long as you can keep having fun while you're studying. That's pretty much what got me through my five terms so far even if I did fail and get expelled from the school I was attending.

Well at least you won't have to massage old cunts for the first 5-10 years before you build up some decent rep to work for a sporting team or something. Haha.

Degrees. Who needs them eh. I've already got a Cert IV in 3 different types of massage. I'm obsessed with getting certificates. I'm convinced i'll never ever work in the field, just keep studying and picking up degrees and the like.

 

That reminds me of Van Wilder.

 

I saw that movie once. Can't for the life of me remember what happened.

 

The main character continues to change his major prior to graduating to he can stay in school longer. I think he ends up in school for either seven or nine years before he finally decides to graduate.

I suppose it's not the same thing, but what you said reminded me of it for some reason.

 

I've probably got a repressed love for a learning environment that I won't even admit to myself.

But that's countered by the fact I never want to go to Uni.

Confusing, to say the least.
