well, it's not uncommon in hiphop/rap

(i.e. in alot of 50 cent and eminem songs, there is a mention of Aftermath/Shady - only one example)

but it is a little quick so it COULD indeed be Cheapshot...we'll just have to trust what lyrics we have until the official ones are out, huh?

Yeah but I think it's uncommon for Mike

No trust me, its machine shop. Mike did all the beats on the album, cheapshot only did it live because there's no way mike could DJ and rap at the same time.

    yeah, it is Machine Shop.

I wonder why Joe didn't want to DJ for him?

I guess it's cause he's working on those movies.

Firstly I have to admit that I'm not a rap and hip-hop fan at all... I love LP and especially the rocky and heavy styles in their music and so I wasn't that interested in Fort Minor...

Well, I was curious (I thought maybe this song will surprise me in a positive way^^) and so I downloaded that song... But it proved for me that it is really not my cup of tea and that I won't buy the album. Sorry, Mike, LP stuff is way better than this! I think I just missed the guitar riffs and the Chester vocals^^ But I'm really looking forward to Chester's solo stuff in the nearer future... (Wow, I've just seen that I'm the only one so far who isn't enthusiastic about this song but it's just my opinion and I love sharing my opinion *LOL*)...

yeah but still cheacp is like a friend to him and part of s.o.b and he says the name of ryu and tak so it would be quite logical , but yeah your point is good also ..=)

I'm not sure if this has been said before but in Tak's verse I think he says "He knows how to work with what he's got" not "He knows how to work with wood, He's god".

Yes you're right. I'll go and change that now..I want these to be as correct as possible as we were the first site to have the song and lyrics.

Here's the lyrics fixed again. I changed it to 'work with what he's got' and "Ryu, Takbir!"

Just a small notice. RTN may not be posted on our website too much longer. My post on the FM boards was completely edited to only say "Check it out!" with the link. No mention of it being exclusive or anything.

And then I had to take exclusive out of the LPA posts, even though we WERE the first to have it. And as far as I know, Warner warned someone for hosting the RTN bootleg a few days back. So to avoid getting lawsuits, if crap hits the fan any further, I will be taking it off LPA. So I'd suggest to get it while you still can, because soon it's going to be illegal for any site to host it (that means if I take it down, you cannot legally put it ony your site now..because you'll get warned from Warner).

    [Mike - Spoken]
    You ready? Lets go!
Yeah, for those of you that want to know what we're all about
    It's like this y'all (c'mon!)

    [Chorus]
    It's just ten percent luck,
    Twenty percent skill,
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will,
    Five percent pleasure,
    Fifty percent pain,
And a hundred percent reason to remember the name!

    [Mike]
    Mike
He doesn't need his name up in lights
He just wants to be heard whether it's the beat or the mic
He feels so unlike everybody else, alone
In spite of the fact that some people still think that they know him
    But fuck em'
    He knows the code:
    It's not about the salary
It's about reality and making some noise
    Makin the story
Makin sure his clique stays up
That means when he puts it down Tak's pickin it up!

    [Tak]
Who the hell is he anyway?
    He never really talks much
Never concerned with status but still leavin them star struck
Humbled through opportunities given to him despite the fact
That many misjudge him because he makes a livin from writin raps
Put it together himself, now the picture connects
Never askin for someone's help, to get some respect
He's only focused on what he wrote, his will is beyond reach
And now when it all unfolds, the skill of an artist

    [Ryu]
    It's just twenty percent skill
    Eighty percent fear
Be one hundred percent clear cause Ryu is ill
Who would've thought that he'd be the one to set the west in flames
And I heard him wreckin with The Crystal Method, "Name Of The Game"
Came back dropped Megadef, took em to church
I'm like bleach man, why you have the stupidest verse?
This dude is the truth, now everybody be givin him guest spots
His stock's through the roof I heard he fuckin with S-Dot!

    [Chorus]
    It's just ten percent luck,
    Twenty percent skill,
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will,
    Five percent pleasure,
    Fifty percent pain,
And a hundred percent reason to remember the name!

    [Ryu]
They call him Ryu the sick
And he's spittin fire with Mike
Got him out the dryer he's hot
Found him in Fort Minor with Tak
    Been a fuckin annihilist porcupine
    He's a prick, he's a cock
The type woman want to be with
And rappers hope he get shot
    Eight years in the makin
    Patiently waitin to blow
Now the record with shinoda's takin over the globe
He's got a partner in crime his shit is equally dope
You wont believe the kind of shit that comes out of this kid's throat

    [Tak]
    Tak
He's not your everyday on the block
He knows how to work with what he's got
Makin his way to the top
People think its a common owners name
People keep askin him was it given at birth,
Or does it stand for an acronym?
    No he's livin proof,
    Got him rockin the booth
He'll get you buzzin quicker than a shot of vodka with juice
Him and his crew are known around as one of the best
Dedicated to what they doin give a 100%

    [Mike]
    Forget Mike
Nobody really knows how or why he works so hard
It seems like he's never got time
Because he writes every note and he writes every line
And I've seen him at work when that light goes on in his mind
It's like a design is written in his head every time
Before he even touches a key or speaks in a rhyme
And those motherfuckers he runs with, those kids that he signed?
Ridiculous, without even trying, how do they do it?!

    [Chorus]
    It's just ten percent luck,
    Twenty percent skill,
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will,
    Five percent pleasure,
    Fifty percent pain,
And a hundred percent reason to remember the name! x2

    [Outro - Mike]

    Yeah! Fort Minor!
    M. Shinoda, Styles of Beyond!
    Ryu, [Mike - Spoken]
    You ready? Lets go!
Yeah, for those of you that want to know what we're all about
