Ah I misunderstood, I thought we had to remix all three songs. So I can do just one song then.
hey guys! i don't know if this is the right place for this, but is anyone else having a hard time matching the acapellas to a fixed tempo? i've trying to remix "over again", which is 73bpm, but the damn thing doesn't want to stick to that tempo, it just seems to start at 73bpm and them gradually go a bit slower to like 70bpm, and so any fixed timestamp won't fit!
You'll find that "Over Again" is actually at 72.5 BPM.
I hope they release the OML acapellas after this. I want to remix Chester's voice again.
For those of you who are still a little confused about the rules and whatnot, my man Shinoda took to Twitter today to answer some FAQs:
"Can we use all three acapellas to make one SUPER MEGA ULTRA ULTIMATE POST TRAUMATIC remix?"
For the record, you can do this, but you should still only select one song in the entry form's checkbox to represent your track
"can i just drop some bars?"
"Is a hard rock/ metal remix allowed?"
"Can I do a folk remix?"
"is an extended version allowed?"
"can I use samples/vocals from existing LP/FM tracks?"
Damn it, i hadn't thought about going the half step, thanks man!
I actually posted that info on the previous page too. Minute and I figured it out together a while ago.
Can we use interviews in our remix? Not music, just Linkin Park talking.
I don't see any issues with this.
There's been a lot of questions about this (a ton of people have the same idea) and honestly, I err on the side of making this completely unrelated to Linkin Park. Mike doesn't want Linkin Park samples or FM samples, and didn't release this under the Linkin Park umbrella. I think he'd prefer if (despite the subject matter of the songs) if any references to LP would be kept out of the remixes.
Hey! I posted a question beforehand about potentially adding dialogue from interviews into the remix. I was thinking about it, and if that's not possible, could I add dialogue from Mike talking that's not in an interview because that wouldn't be copyrighted. Just clarifying, no music involved. Just dialogue. Would either or both of those be okay?
Awesome! Just making sure, there's no way I would be disqualified for something like that?
See my above comments. It's not that you'd be disqualified, as it's more that I feel based off of rules that were set, and comments Mike has made that he'd prefer if these remixes didn't tie into Linkin Park in anyway. These songs are meant to be separate.
It would great to see more remixes with the vocals chopped up or altered or changed around. I think Mike's going to gravitate towards a total re-imagining of these songs, not just layering the vocals over a different background beat.
Hi guys Would just YouTube be allowed if we use the #RemixPostTraumatic in title, tags and description? Soundcloud has created some copyright trouble in the past. Thank you.
This is my first time remixing anything. Lets hope I can make that deadline.
As far as what I am using....

My friend and I made a remix, anyone have any feedback?
This is really good. Not my kind of genre, but good.
