RIAA certification of HT

    i checked the website, and it says HT has gone 8 times platinum ... but im sooo sure that some article says it has sold more than 10million reecords... any1 knows whats the deal here... i think it might be somethin to do with the records sold in america /worldwide

    Anytime it will say platinum status over 8, it's talking about worldwide.

    There is no "platinum" status worldwide. When we say "Certified platinum by the RIAA on [date here]", we're talking about the Recording Industry Association of America. 8x platinum is 8 million. Linkin Park have sold 15 million copies of 'Hybrid Theory'.

    they sold more than 15 million copies of hybrid theory and they're still selling. its an amazing record tough

    what if someone stole a copy of hybrid theory.. does that count as a sale???
