Double-posting to revive a recent thread that almost is on the verge of dying. Who do you think will win this last round? My vote's on Marty. His accoustic version of Trees was just amazing.
Thanks. I was looking for this. I'm going for Marty, too. I loved his version of "Creep". His yelling during the bridge was great, minus the voice crack. It breathed a whole new life into the song. I got a cold shiver when he did that. I think he could really revitalize INXS and rejuvenate their songs if he was their new lead singer. I loved Suzie though, she was great. Probably not the best thing for INXS, but if she ever fronts a rock band, I'd certainly check out her music.
I think J.D is gonna win. he has the right style and he is a really good singer he just fits, but if he doesn't win I think it will be Marty. Marty can write acoustic songs and INXS can use that to their advantage and he is about the same style and singing wise as J.D so it can go any way. Marty's song "Trees" fucking owns.
I don't know about J.D. Pretty Vegas is too much like Elvis in a rock band (which isn't a bad thing by any means), and pretty much just plays on his past history of an Elvis impersonator.
JD won. I was going for Marty, but in a way I think he lacks the stage presence and energy that JD had. I think it was a good decision on INXS' part. JD seems to fit well. The band did invite Marty to perform as the opener on their world tour, though. I can't wait for a studio version of "Trees".
Go check out the Lovehammers. They are Marty's band that he started when he was 14, and they gained some fame. Apparently Trees is on one of their albums.
marty is too good for inxs,he's really good with screaming but inxs doesnt like that so i just hope he becomes really famous in the future.
