Jonathan Ross has apologised and to be honest they're both comedy personalities. I don't see why the whole sachs family is taking it to heart. Fair enough there were lots of complaints but I think it's stupid to get rid of two big personalities on the BBC over something that was intended to be a joke.
Apparently Georgina was so embarrassed, she quit the tour with the Satanic Sluts early. I think I'd be embarrassed simply be being on tour with the Satanic Sluts. Anything Brand does is gold. The man is a fucking saint.
I wouldn't go so far as to call the man a "saint" but he is pretty funny. I listen to the show every once and while... kinda upset I missed this one.
Basically, he was supposed to be interviewed by Brand on his radio show but they could only get through to his answering machine. They left a couple of messages containing a couple of swear words and a couple of references to Brand sleeping with his grand daughter, where they basically said it in about as many words as I just did. Saying this has been blown out of proportion is a bit like saying the Atlantic Ocean is a bit bigger than Edgbaston Reservoir tbh.
I can't believe so many people complained... They were listening to a Russell Brand show. I'd be complaining if something like this wasn't on it.
Pretty much. People who find that sort of thing offensive probably shouldn't be listening to a show with Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross on it. An apology was enough.

Well thats the stupid thing about it. Ross and Brand are huge personalities over here and their departures will hurt BBC quite a bit.

It's been blown way out of proportion by the media's excessive coverage of it, it's humor some don't like and some people find it funny. I personally haven't even seen the clip and don't really want to as I really don't care what happens to either of them. I would have thought the country going into recession etc would be slightly more prioritized. However, I do hate Russel Brand with every fiber in my being and hope he never gets another job and is utterly destroyed in every sense by this prank call.
I've been in Portugal for a week and it's on the news there, so yeah, out of proportion. I'd want anything to end Russel Brands career I don't mind what, or just for him to end really...
Sounds ridiculous. Like when people tried to get Bill Maher fired for calling the Pope the leader of a child molesting cult. People get offended too easily- if you don't like them, change the channel. Easy as that. Luckily Maher wasn't fired.
Yeah, a few nights ago I had ITV news on in the background and I could have sworn it was all they covered save for the sports and weather. The reporter actually said before the clip itself "This footage may contain offensive language" and the only words that even came close to that were "sex" and "slept with" (Jonathan Ross did say something like "He fucked/shagged your granddaughter!" but whatever the verb was it was bleeped). Says a lot really.
