It's all true. People are consantly influenced by music and video games to do things they wouldn't have. Isn't it obvious?

Take Hannibal for example... an avid PacMan player.

What did they find in the Columbine kids nintendo... Duck Hunt.

The famous flower eating, mushroom popping, italian plumber that slayed all those poor Koopa Troopa's... you get my drift.

Did you guys even watch the whole thing? He said something like " I don't mean to say that music and games made me kill but i listened to Linkin Park while i was killing because they were singing exactly what i felt".

Their music related to his life just like how LP's music relates to my life and probably yours in one way or the other.

That's kinda really freakishly scary. Music influencing you to kill.... He might just be using LP as a scapegoat.. but I am really doubting that.

That's bullshit. No one would use music as an excuse for killing anyone. This guy is just too screwed up that hes blaming it on outside sources rather than his own depraved, dillusional mind. This guy needs help, big time.

CBS pisses me off. The same people bitching about how "messed up" kids are these days happen to be the same people who gave them a fucked up life.

And if you think about it . . . he could have been killing more people instead of listenning to music.

I hate it when people blame music for their actions.

The same thing happened to AC/DC a few years back when a killer wore a hat of theirs. If the aftermath is any indication with them, there might be a period where the press blows it out of proportion, but Linkin Park will eventually come out of it okay. If anything, they might come out of it a stronger band.
This is yet another reason that I don't watch CBS News. They can't seem to get anything right over there and it took the resignation of Dan Rather for people to actually notice that. "Hey, it says it in the memo. It MUST be true..." I guess the producers and reporters collectively skipped the day of broadcast news class when they talked about how to do investigative reporting. Hey, that's who I saw at McDonald's that day.
I'm just glad the serial killer took the time to note that music wasn't the motivating factor in all of this by saying that it wasn't what made him kill.

i am honestly, straightforwardly pissed about this

he was about to metion lyrics which "influenced" him to kill, but, really, i don't think he's got any lyrics to mention. I don't believe that LP are to blame. he just wants to be seen as a victim, i suppose - like most other serial killers.

he has an awful lot to say about his childhood, and his parents and his religion - it's not LP's fault he had a rough childhood. the guy's got life for it, that's good. LP will definitely get into a lot of crap for this. i hope no one turns away from their music because of it.

this is bull****. i don't see how LP influences someone to murder. last story i've heard that involved LP was suicide. kid wrote the chorus of "in the end" and he just killed himself. man, how is LP music murderous? this is bull

You have to be a really fuckhead to let your life get influenced by music. Its even more stupid that he spoke about it on national tv.
