HTEP, Reanimation, MTM, ATS, and Recharged had Mike's best rapping IMO.
You say it came natural, yet he had to rewrite Meteora raps and MTM raps a billion times.
I have absolutely no nostalgia for HT/M, I started listening to them after MtM, but I still think the raps on the first two albums trump those on LT/THP. Just my opinion. That being said, I know absolutely nothing about rap music.

Part of me wants to say yes, part of me wants to say no.
Nope. There's Fort Minor for that. I much rather the band explore into other territories.
Ridiculous statement that I've seen thrown around here on the board on a variety of threads. Might as well take away the rock as well since there's 'Dead By Sunrise' and 'Stone Temple Pilots' for that. Linkin Park was built on the foundation and philosophy that they could be anything. Any direction should always be available for the band.
This part of me won't go away.
You act like Fort Minor = Dead by Sunrise and Stone Temple Pilots. First of all, Dead by Sunrise is dead, let's face it. Stone Temple Pilots has a unique sound and style to them that does not fit Linkin Park whatsoever. The same goes for Fort Minor. Fort Minor is Mike's hip hop side project. Sure Mike has brought some hip hop elements into the band every once in a while, but as far as we know, he is the only one interested in hip hop music. Because Linkin Park is rock band. Sure they've expanded into other genres, but at their core, they are a rock band. Honestly, I highly doubt Linkin Park could even pull off a full hip hop album and it would most likely flop.
If you're judging solely on verbosity, sure.
Judging by emotion and lyrics.
I wouldn't say STP is out of LP's range of sound (DBS definitely isn't). After THP especially, a couple of STPesque songs down the road would be almost expected. And Joe probably enjoys some hip hop given what he knows how to play.
I don't think it would be unreasonable to label Living Things a rock album. Analogously, I can imagine LP doing an album with enough hip hop elements to be called a hip hop album, with it still have plenty of other elements. Granted, most people wouldn't call it that, since it's LP and they are known for rock. Overall I think it would be a little pointless to make an album with the same balance of hip hop and other elements as TRT with LP, given Chester's talents would be underused, as well as Rob's (I would say Brad too, but he'd probably do a lot of cool electronic work instead of guitar).
Yeah, if I remember Mike and Joe were the ones into Hip-Hop back in their school/college? days. I forgot in which interviews that they mention it though.
Well let's see.. Mike is a very mediocre rapper at best and hasn't been too great at that either as off late. So no, they definitely should not do a full on hip-hop album. It will be disastrous.
Yeahhh someone who agrees with me
Dang, you showed NO remorse lmao
Eh... I'd rather not see this. Apart from the fact that Mike's rapping isn't that great, I feel like people like Chester and Rob would take too much of a back seat.
Talk about taking the back seat.....
Anyone interested about bass-heavy LP record? Like, really all about the bass?
