Wow. I just listened to "One Day Like This" for the first time, due to your comment, and all I could think during it was, "Oh my God, it's just 'Hey Jude' with different lyrics!" Not that this is a bad thing. I mean, if you're gonna steal, why not steal from The Beatles? Anyway, "Shadow of the Day" is embarrassingly a re-dressed "With or Without You," but otherwise I don't see too much similarity between Linkin Park and other bands. They're often self-similar ("Numb" is an inferior "Pushing Me Away," et cetera), but analogous songs from other bands are few and far between.

Forgot about "My Very Best" By Elbow is very similar to "Robot Boy". Same key, chord proggession, harmonies. I've been working on a mashup of the two cause they both sound really nice together.
I know, but I still remember the first time hearing Robot boy's intro going "Is this Linkin Park or Journey!?"
Nine Inch Nails - Something I Can Never Have Piano intro sounds similar to What I've Done intro. Damn, MTM is full of borrowed ideas from other songs.
