i still dont get it. single meaning because its coming out on video? is that y they call it a single? sorry never really understood y sometimes the radio person for ex., would 'here comes their new single blah blah blah' so really am confused? lol
and whats the point of it. because y dont ppl just buy the album itself? u know. doesn't make any sense still. weird
Bands release singles so they can be played on radio and on TV so more people can hear it and maybe buy the single and if they really like it maybe buy the whole album.

the bands dont actually release it, it's just a marketing plot by the record companies...and unless it's got unreleased stuff it's not worth it to buy a single when u can purchase the album for a few more dollars...

You've got a point. But without the singles we probably wouldn't have videos and I pretty much live for those But I think that signles will lose it's supposed meaning within a couple years now when music is downloaded over the internet. Singles will pretty much become useless soon. But they better keep making videos B)
I think 'Single CD' may be have a special tracks, the video or another version of that song. That the full album does't have. But I never buy a single cd. Bcus I think it's not worth. B)
