This would be exciting if I didn't already have all the DSPs. :p

Judging by the fact there's Hybrid Theory/Meteora era DSPs, I wouldn't say you have them all. DSPs didn't start till 2007-ish, and to have two pro recordings of 2000-2003 era shows (if that's what they are) is exciting. I know the band had recorded their shows for a WHILE before making DSPs (to watch themselves back etc) but they never released them.

My thoughts too! If they ARE Hybrid Theory/Meteora show recordings, that's quite an exciting find.

My assumption is that the shows released won't be shows from the era, but rather the songs from that album cycle. Like tomorrow when Hybrid Theory week starts it will be a bunch of tracks from different shows where the band have performed songs from HT. Who knows though, but that's how I picture it.

I don't know why but does anyone else feel like they might do a live-stream-premiere of Living Things at the end?

Spotify is an application (like iTunes). You need to download and install it if you are in an eligible country that offers Spotify. Alas, it is a short list.

Speaking of countries, I'm banking on the USA version getting this too. I will say so if it does.

I'm so crossing my heart for something they haven't put out yet. (Meteora World Tour arena tour plz plz plz plz plz plz plz plz)

On the other hand, it seems shows that have been seen before by older fans are more likely to resurface: eg, the LPU tour that aired on MTV, or the London show from Sept 2001.

I can't justify paying for Spotify Premium because the only reason I want it is so I can use the iOS app

On topic though, this is definitely a good choice in terms of buildup content considering all the albums are on Spotify in full anyway, so the only thing they could have done really was "officially" put up the LPU stuff or live stuff - fortunately, LP is one of the few groups left that still knows what exclusivity means.

Hmm yes, when you word it like that, that does seem much more likely. It would much easier/quicker for Linkin Park and Spotify to get their hands on, rather than trawling through old recordings. We shall see though, we might be lucky!

so did I get this right? These downloads will be open to everyone?
Also what I would hope would be that It would be something like the orginal tracklist of the album from front to back "made" with the corresponding live performance becuase besides Easier To run (well it was performed for LPU members) Robot Boy, HHH, In Between and In Pieces every song released on albums was played live

I think it's great they team up with Spotify for something like this. Spotify is a pretty cool service, in my opinion, that gives artists many different opportunities to promote their work in a creative way. Did I mention that I want to marry Spotify? I think my life started to be worth living when it was released in Germany... ;-D
About the DSPs, I also have a lot of them, but I also think that they'll do a compilation for every album from different shows ("all around the world"), so maybe there's a performance I don't have yet among them.

This is pretty awesome! So we can download these compilations for free if we have a Spotify account?? If it's the whole album live, we will finally get a pro-shot recording of Hit The Floor and Nobody's Listening in full right? That's exciting... Can't wait for these.
