International trailer with some new footage
That shot with the TIE fighters flying with the sun behind them was fucking GORGEOUS. I love how this film looks visually. George Lucas would have never filmed something like that.
Kylo Ren's lightsaber interests me. It seems be a lot more... staticy and rough than the usually smooth, sleek looking lightsabers. From that shot, you can also see how it distorts (hell I don't remember the girl's name yet) her face.
I'm too lazy to read back, but is anyone else following the battlefront trailers and teasers? It looks awfully dope.
I saw that, like, days after the first teaser dropped. Try this: this
Pretty excited and interested in this film. Visually, it looks the best of all the films, and I'm not just saying that because of the improved technology we have now. It seems the director and the crew have an amazing sense and taste for how a Star Wars film should look. I really like how everything is paced, framed, and placed through the camera. The costume/wardrobe department is also doing an amazing job at designing the clothes and attire.
I'm afraid hype is going to kill The Force Awakens. So many people have hyped up the movie to such an insane degree, that it could never live up to their expectations. I feel like it's going to go the way of Fallout 4. A pretty great product, but not something mind-blowingly incredible like people thought it might be.
The fucking hype for this movie is just too much. It will be such a major disappointment if it's not the greatest thing ever. I'm not that excited anymore. I just don't really feel one way or the other about it now. It's just happening. Big whoop.
I'm still excited and I hope I love the story... After all, I've been waiting on a movie continuation to this story since I fell in love with the Star Wars Universe at six years old.
My expectations for Fallout 4 were wrongly high because of a game not made by Bethesda, New Vegas, I assumed Bethesda would learn something from New Vegas but they didn't. They just stripped even more RPG elements and turned it into Far Cry. I love the game but as Fallout, I get frustrated by what it is. Now if Obsidian make a new Fallout, the hype will be even more than Fallout 4 and it will most likely live up to it, because what I want from Fallout is characters, factions, choice and story, and that's what Obsidian cares about. If anyone posts Star Wars leaks, like what Snoke looks like..... fuck you
Internet nerdom blows this shit out of proportion every time. It's the fucking worst. Everything is over-analyzed and speculated upon until you just get fucking sick of hearing about it. Leaked trailers, set photos, YouTube analysis, etc. It's an echo chamber of the most irritating variety. I just try to tune it all out and focus on what I think the movie has going for it. This usually results in people thinking you're a buzzkill, but I don't really give a shit about what someone whose top 10 adjectives are all the word "epic" thinks. I often end up enjoying whatever didn't meet their inflated expectation more than they did anyway.
