I don't listen to them too much anymore but I listened to them a lot when I was growing up and my mom listens to them. It'll be interesting to see how much the band changes now that the primary vocalist, guitarist, and lyricist is gone.
I enjoy listening to them from time to time. It's good to know that things ended on good terms between him and the rest of the band. But I have a feeling that he'll rejoin after a few years lol.
They had a few huge singles. "If I Had $1,000,000". "The Old Apartment", "One Week", "Falling for the First Time"
I've only ever listened to One Week but I'm with you Chris. It'll be interesting to see what happens in the future.
After 20 years, they should change their name, or just break up and have the remaining members form a new band. If this was only after their first or second album, so be it, but they've been around for way too long to lose their singer and keep calling themselves Barenaked Ladies, in my opinion. And before anyone says anything, I feel the same way about Guns n' Roses. They shouldn't be called Guns n' Roses anymore.
Well what if they like their name ey? Bands aren't going to change their name just because some fans think they aren't the same anymore. The singer is only as important as the guitarist or bassist in my opinion. The drummer being a bit below them
