I love ALN
I've gotten up to Mark the Graves, I'm listening to that one right now and my favorite so far is The Summoning/War.
All For Nothing a 4? Pshhh. I rank it a solid 9.
Keys To The Kingdom 8,5/10
All For Nothing 9/10
Guilty All The Same 7,5/10
The Summoning 5/10
Until It's Gone 9,5/10
Mark the Graves 6/10
Final Masquerade 10/10
A Line In The Sand 6/10
That interlude as 'All For Nothing' ends...
I give All For Nothing a 10 tbh.
It's so funny
The band has drastically stepped up their writing ability in all facets in this album. Both lyrically, and in song structure. A very welcome and much needed improvement.
I've streamed the entire album without interruption. Were there supposed to be 'commercials' or what have you? >.>
This. And it's fucking sad.
By the way,
Someone give Rob a fuckin' medal!
Chester too, just proved that he's still got it.
Keys to the Kingdom - 10/10
All for Nothing - 9/10
Guilty All The Same - 9/10
The Summoning - 7/10
War - 10/10
Wastelands - 6/10
Until it's Gone - 6/10
Rebellion - 10/10
Mark the Graves - 8/10

Final Masquerade - 9/10
A Line in the Sand - 9/10
pretty solid album.... gotta say!
Sad? Nah, this album makes me want to go rage somewhere in a mosh pit.
all for nothing really sucks, the chorus is awful, chesters "you say" is really stupid. since the first time i heard it i wanted to skip it, this song is annoying as hell
lyrically? some of the worst lyrics ever by them, but a few great parts too.
I'm glad for you. And also jealous. I wish I could love and experience this album like I did the first time I heard ATS or even LT (even though I don't like LT nowadays)... I had tears in my eyes the first time I heard Burning In The Skies and When They Come For Me. I couldn't sleep and I couldn't wait to wake up to listen to it again. I was so happy and wanted to share it with the world (read LPA).
Listening to THP felt tiring. No excitement, no chills. Nothing. Now I feel like an outcast since everybody else is loving it.
So fucking sad.
I'm in love with ALITS, it's such a rollercoaster ride that i've never experienced in any LP song.
But i couldn't help but notice the similarities with some of their previous stuff...
I mean, the main riff is pretty much Victimized's riff with a twist, and the chorus is basically GATS's chorus with other lyrics.
Did anyone else notice that or am i hearing too much? lol
The first 1:15 minutes of A Line In The Sand is close to being the best thing LP has ever done. But the rest of the song takes a big shit on it. Chester's chorus sounds like absolute arse. Jesus.
Really? Lyrically I rank the albums ATS > (Castle of Glass slides up here a bit) > THP > MtM > LT > HT > Meteora
No, you're right; and I'm not sure whether I like it or not.
On the one hand, it definitely works and sounds great, but at the same time, it seems lazy to recycle riffs like that.
Havent gotten it yet, but from what I remember last week, neither did I.
