About time Rob featured on one of these pictures.. Can't wait to see what he has in store for this next album. Thanks, Qwerty
Wait... were you... serious? Although the guy leaning on to the wall where the pic is blurry might be Chester.
For some reason I think he's singing rather than rapping on that pic. Or just speaking, I doubt someone else would be in the cabin while he's recording.
Found this interesting photo/comment exchange on Instagram the other night: http://instagram.com/p/evduqDiO2F/ Ethan Mates is a studio engineer who has worked with Linkin Park regularly, dating back to the Minutes to Midnight pre-production phase in 2006. He's been in the studio with them again recently, and he posted a studio photo of an ESP 8-string guitar on his Instagram a few weeks ago, to which Brad's guitar tech Sean simply replied, "No!" Ethan's response was "Haha get ready buddy." 8-string guitars on LP6? The guitar in question is an ESP Stef B-8, by the way (it's one of Stephen Carpenter's signature models).
#KornMode (Although they use 7 string guitars xD). Awesome find, Astat, and nice theory. And BTW Pooch has given a "like" to the picture so we could be definitely talking about an LP environment/context for this photo.
I for one hope that if they experimented with an 8-string, that it won't end up being used on the album...for purely selfish reasons. I don't own an 8-string, nor do I ever plan to, and I'd really rather not try to figure out guitar tabs for something I have basically no knowledge on. I don't think I've ever even picked up an 8-string at Guitar Center. *Edit* Then again, I DID manage to accurately tab BY_MYSLF in Stef Carpenter's obnoxiously low G# 7-string tuning without actually using said tuning. Maybe I could pull it off? Haha.
