I've always hated that every reviewer has to attempt to explain "the whole Linkin Park thing". I don't know why people who don't like the band even insist on reviewing
Probably because no one else does. (Except for you, Rick Florino. You'll always be in our hearts ) I could seriously rant about this for days, but I'll try not to say too much more. It just astounds me when I could offer more musical insight than most of these so-called "professionals". I'm sure there are some fantastic critics out there, but most either spend their time slinging shit at anything they don't like, or simply don't try to write anything insightful at all.
Many critics insisted that Linkin Park is back to their Hybrid Theory roots when they heard the song title "war" on THP. Meanwhile, they haven't even listened to the album at all and form biased opinions based on the tracklist and former albums *cough* Hybrid Theory and Meteora *cough*
Seriously, if anything on THP would be described as "back to the roots", then it would be "Until It's Gone" or "Wastelands" or maybe a few others. But I can't even remotely see how those guys can make that connection. Just because "War" sounds particulary "hard"? Please...

Welp, that's it guys and gals. We had a good run, but it looks like this album will be shit. Here's to LP8.
Mmm. That could be a series of options for mixes or sounds that they're picking between, though, or a series of layers that line up perfectly
