In my English class our teacher set a 'Christmas Poem Competition' and I wrote this poem my friend says it it really good, but I don't know. So I want to know what you think, so here it is:

    The Blood on Our Hands

    Lie, little Jesus,
    in your cradle of straw.
    Lie, little Jesus,
as we worship you on the floor.

    Sleep, little Jesus,
    as the gunshot rings loud.
    Sleep, little Jesus,
    as the starving cry out.

    Peace, little Jesus,
this is not for your ears.
    Go teach us your morals,
    take away all our fears.

    See all the politicians,
    who are bleeding us dry.
    They killed the innocent
    without telling us why.

    Wake up, little Jesus,
see all the lives that've been lost.
There's no blood on your hands,
but there's blood on your cross.

    Sleep, little Jesus,
    from heaven you came.
    To save us from disaster,
    did you die in vain?

Made me think alot...amazing, so true it's scary!

Sorry, but won't they expel you if you wrote that in school?....sounds like fun :p

It's great, deep, strong but I really don't think that's a Christmas song...

you're right, it doesn't seem like a christmas song, but it does give you a lot to think about ...
