I recently found this band, and I'm so in love with their music and concepts! For you who haven't heard about The Dear Hunter, the band is a "musical project" by singer Casey Crescenzo that has released five albums. The first three albums are Acts I, II and III in a six part "concept-album series" about the life and struggles of a boy called The Dear Hunter. The forth album, The Color Spectrum, is a collection of some tracks from nine EPs where each EP represents a color in the color spectrum. Their latest album Migrant was released earlier this year, and it's their first to not have a concept. So what do you think? Have you heard them before? If not, their music is definitly worth checking out! Amazing band. A lot of people say Migrant isn't really that great but I think the first half makes up for all the shortcomings of the second half.
Yea it's definitly not bad, I would even say that it's my second favorite after Act II, at least for the moment! It's a little more polished and radiofriendly, but I really like it.
I love them. Casey is such a ridiculous musician hahah. He's got a symphony coming out that he's written as well but I'm not sure when it's coming out. They're playing in the UK pretty soon so I'm gonna grab tickets I think. Can't wait for him to finish Act's IV to VI but I can't see him going back to those any time soon unfortunately.
