So. It was fucking great. As simple as that.

I've listened to it 3 or 4 times. For now, Leathers remains one of my favorite. Other standout tracks to me are Poltergeist (chorus sounds so much better in studio :) ), Entombed, and Goon Squad. Oh, and I also love that intro riff in Romantic Dreams, it sounds so grunchy!

Oh yes, how did I forgot about this one? Really digging the verses in that song.

I wasn't sure on my first listen, but the last nine hundred of them have been fucking amazing. This is one of my top albums of the year ever, no doubt.

This is probably their best album they put out since White Pony. Top three songs from the album for me are Poltergeist, Rosemary, and Entombed.

"Rosemary" has grown on me big time. I've liked it since I first heard it, but it's one of my favorites on the album now.

Overall, I'm just blown away by how vital Deftones still sound. This is probably the most cohesive album they've made since Around the Fur.

Cannot stop listening to Graphic Nature. It has to be one of my favourite deftones songs, the chorus is just nasty!

    Love the dynamics of it.

Been waiting for them to do a progressive type album for the longest time.

Let me describe it this way.

If White Pony and Diamond Eyes had a baby, Around the Fur and Saturday Night Wrist had a baby together as well, and those babies grew up, fulfilled all of their dreams, met, fucked, and had a lovechild of their own, then Koi No Yokan would be the end result.

Basically all their albums minus Adrenaline & Self-titled mixed together then? :bradwink:

Ahah! Good way of looking at it

I'd say it's more close to White Pony and Saturday Night Wrist though, as Diamond Eyes and Around The Fur shared similar vibes to me.

Also, it's funny to see how Adrenaline has maybe become the more 'different" of their albums  We can't really compare it to any of their other works, except some similarities with ATF.

How comes for Self-titled? Lol I mean, yes it has some "generic" stuff (for Deftones Standards), but some of its songs are great too (Deathblow, Battle-Axe, Lucky You, and Bloody Cape are top material for me).

On the other side, I can understand for Adrenaline, even if I still love it!

I don't know. It's just not an album I've been able to get through.
