"In The End" late 2001, I was on lunch break from this shitty weekend SAT prep workshop at USC, I was just eating lunch by myself at a Quiznos and the song came on. I noticed a cute girl across the room singing along. I wasn't really into music at the time, and I was liking what I was hearing. So when I got home, I just searched for the song on napster or kazaa. Stole the rest of the songs, loved them so much I bought the album a couple months later.

The first song was "In The End", but I didnĀ“t know that it was Linkin Park. When I saw the music video of "Somewhere I belong" on TV, I fell in love with LP and bought the brand new album Meteora and also Hybrid Theory.

Yeah, you can never truly know who you meet on the internet, but I believe it was Shinoda.

When I got Frat Party At The Pankake Festival and either Mike or Joe told this story, my jaw literally dropped.

Indeed... The internet seemed so primitive and in it's infancy back then...
