I actually see nothing that links the two song really. There completely different tempos.

I remember back a while Back when Joe was saying 'Blackbirds' wasnt from the Minutes to Midnight album cycle but you can clearly hear them recording strings for the song on the MTM dvd (And in this video)

I for one have had enough "Grecian" references on these boards.

It's just an M2M demo that was unfinished. It has no relation to any Linkin Park song that we know of. End of discussion.

And the "Linkin Park Wiki" is an even worse source than normal Wikipedia. Surely the human population should know this by now.

    Rob never said that.

Qwerty was written during rehearsals for the Japan tour and the lyrics were written on the way to Japan in 06. Grecian was a random demo (seed) that Phoenix came up with.

Okay...the Rob quote there is from the LPU 6 newsletter (in the "Making of QWERTY" article), not the Making of Minutes to Midnight DVD. And that's not even close to what he actually said, he said that they were working on Grecian at the time the idea for QWERTY was introduced, so they stopped working on Grecian and started working on QWERTY instead.

Other than that, the only relation between the two songs is that they both originated from ideas Phoenix came up with (Grecian started as a seed of Phoenix playing guitar to a click track, QWERTY from a bass riff that Phoenix played during rehearsals).
