Shadow of The Day. It's just so beautiful. It changes all the time. Like in the beginning it was In Pieces. I love the drums in SOtD, the guitar solo, the way Chester says "Set" in the lines "the sun will set for you". It's so good. And the guitar in the bridge of Given Up is very good too, just in another kinda way you know..
Yea I was just listening to that song last night, and it struck me that the drums actually sound amazing, and really complex. Very cool.
Definitley Chesters screaming in Given Up. When i first heard it, i gasped and my eyes popped out. It makes up for all the lack of screaming in the other songs.
The bassline/bridge/Chester's scream from Given Up and the solo from In Pieces. So unexpected, and damn cool.
Easily Chester's scream in Given Up. That part is awe-inspiring. Gawd i'd love to be able to do that.
the capability of humans to write such good music...it's scary..they are so inspiring with these lil mercy miracles, i could just pick up a pen and write a poem or just draw with LP in the background.
Music itself is just amazing all round. The way moments like these can inspire you, or send a shiver down you're spine, its just amazing.
The minute the album started, during 'Wake'. TLTYGA, from the 4:36 mark and onwards. Epic. The guitar solo in In Pieces.
I really like the end of Hands Held High where Chester sings. "With hands held high into a sky so blue, As the ocean opens up to swallow you."
Definitley the a coppela at the end of TLTGYA. That part of the song just like, touches me in a way. It's really strange. I asked Josh if he "felt" it, and he was like "errrrm no?" So maybe it's just me.
Acapella dear . To be honest, I really didn't "feel" TLTGYA. It just didn't live up to the hype in my opinion. In Pieces was definitely the unexpected moment of the album for me.
The Little Things Give You Away. From Rob's Drum bit near the middle onwards into Brad's solo and right to the end, What I've Done. Just the entire song is practically perfect and describes the album with a hint of their past perfectly. Hands Held High. The Amens for the chorus, and Mikes singing at the end while the organ is playing in the background. That's about it. Wake is good too, but it just didn't make it for me by a teensy bit because i think the start is a tad too long.
Nope, you can clearly hear Chester on the studio version too and he has a very... Not to sound gay, but a very sweet and soft voice.
