Roughly two more weeks until "Hesitation Marks"! :phone:

A while back, Pitchfork put up a really brief article covering the artists who delivered remixes for the deluxe edition. I've never heard of any of them but, whatever

Todd Rundgren? Holy shit, that's out of left field.

    Really liking Everything!

Anybody else hear a bit of Getting Smaller in it?

Definitely. I even hear a bit of that octave guitar riff from Getting Smaller in the background during the first part of the verse. I like Trent's super poppy yet somehow kind of sarcastic songs lol. The harmonies = yes.

Studio version of Find My Way is freaking amazing.

Edit: I also love how the BBC players "go to 11". Haha

SO much better than the live version. It's just one of those songs that doesn't translate well, especially with Trent's live vocals.

I feel like I need to sit down with the album and give it time to soak in. Hearing these tracks randomly isn't doing much for me.

Trent owns. I haven't listened to any other singles besides Came Back Haunted. Trying to hold off until release date.

I don't understand why this guy AJ interpreted "more sophisticated audience" as Trent attacking his own fans. He doesn't think the crowds at that festival will take to his music. Using the phrase "more sophisticated" is kind of dickish, but it seems like Trent was referring to that festival crowd, not his fan base.

Same here! Waiting 'til my deluxe copy arrives :)

Exactly. It seems like "Hesitation Marks" takes Nine Inch Nails in a slightly more "Pretty Hate Machine"-esque electronic direction and a rock/punk festival probably isn't the best environment in which to show that off.

"Trent wants to be mainstream now"

Fucking hell, this guy sounds like someone from LP Chat.

Which always make me laugh because NIN has been "mainstream" for a while. TDS was the #2 album in the US. Fragile was #1. With Teeth was #1. Year Zero was #2. Self-released Ghost and Slip were 13 and 14. That's mainstream success period.

In regards to sound, Trent has always had a super pop side to him. Hands That Feeds basically apes "You Really Got Me". IMO Only, EDIETS, Into The Void, Starfuckers, Getting Smaller, Capital G & Discipline are pretty "pop" compared to most NIN fair.
