Idk man, me personally, I will be smoking a lot of Mary Jane. Like if it wasn't for work I would just be off my gourd high all the time.
Easily. But in all seriousness, the fact that this drug is a type 1 level, on par with heroine and meth, is absolutely ridiculous. It's about time the states, and more importantly, the federal government look at marijuana in a similar way to alcohol. It would cut back on cartels, crimes, increase revenue, and the resources for this "War on Drugs" can be used elsewhere.
The Fed won't allow Colorado to do this. They'll be sending DEA agents there quite often I bet. Hopefully Colorado pulls a Wyoming and tells them that any Federal Agent will be arrested if they try to impose their laws against the state's laws.
Considering the Gunbelt is located squarely where the Bible Belt is/the Black Belt used to be, I think it may be. As much as I think we should be drastically cutting military funding, I don't think we should stop producing military weaponry outright.
Educated urban areas voting Democrat and uneducated rural areas voting Republican. Same old same old.
Yep. I was very happy about that. Haha, most definitely. But at least the thing about legalizing marijuana is that (hopefully) it will move the country to stop blowing money on the drug war. Best case scenario, no drug war, at least involving pot. Sounds like a pipe dream, though.
I definitely agree with you, and I wasn't trying to downplay the importance of the drug legalization.
That's funny, because I actually was trying to downplay the importance of drug legalization only to realize halfway through typing my OP that it actually was a pretty big deal. It's still not important news to me, but then again neither is the equality of marriage. I'm just happier about equality than drugs.
