I am sorta, not like playing gigs and stuff, just with some friends when we have the time.

The scary part is that the metal scene is almost half as good as the punk scene...

anyways, I've been in a couple bands before, but now I just play guitar for the hell of it.

I'm a mostly Extreme Metal drummer who finds playing Punk and Hardcore fun, but the only one of my friends who plays an other instrument isn't very good, and he only listens to commercial rock and rap, so band-wise I'm fucked. Just in case you wanted to know, which you probably didn't.

I'd love to be in a symphonic metal band, and I would play bass; but in my city I barely see a metalhead, except for some guys that like Nightwish.

Argentina...do you live in Buenos Aires? If so, did you check out that killer Megadeth show in October 05? :p

Symphonic Metal, nothing against it, but it's hard to find anything that sounds different between all the bands...the only thing close to symphonic metal I really like is Helloween. And they're more power metal...

I don´t live in Bs.As, but I´ve been to there on holidays. I live in Rio Gallegos, in the very south of Argentina. Regarding Megadeth, I don´t like them very much, but I saw their October 05 concert on TV. It was very cool.

I've sung vocals in a couple of hardcore/metal bands, but also some much lighter stuff.

Most people around where I am are waay to into emo/pop punk to play metal.

Or they're not good enough musicians.

I'd never sing in a metal band, my voice is like Chris Martin (Coldplay)'s vocals; except in a power metal band, where falsetto is usual.

I can't do clean vocals, BM vocals, or Hardcore vocals, but I have a nasty death grunt.

Yeah, I really want to hear their new album but I can't download stuff myself at the moment and I'd be surprised if I could get ahold of a physical copy that easily here.

And last night I saw the worst documentary on metal ever.

i thought i would add more bands to the list since there are some more bands that i have really got into recently.

    Pantera
    Deicide
    Job for a Cowboy
    The Black Dahlia Murder
    Cannibal Corpse
    Machine Head
    Poison the Well

I only have CC's last album but its good enough to put them on this list. Im going to pick up another one very soon. Ive never really followed Machine Head but everyone was talking about the Blackening so I checked it out and its a damn good album so they're on the list solely for that album. I dont know how you guys feel about Poison the Well or if you would consider them metal but I put them on there anyway.

So, it looks like Chris Pennie's left The Dillinger Escape Plan. Sucks.

In my opinion...the album they did with Mike Patton was their only standout piece of work.

That's actually one of my least favourite Patton works, relative to everything else he's done. He does a similar thing better with Fantomas.

I'm not a massive fan of DEP, but Pennie's a good drummer.

I could be going to WOA! Fuck yes! Enslaved, In Flames, Possessed? Once again, fuck yes. And maybe Dying Fetus playing in Edmonton(I don't really like them but I haven't gone to a show in a while, and I'm restless).
