For any of you who are Pantera fans, one of the best 90s metal bands. This is just a thread to discuss the band, post videos etc I'll post some videos, and see if this thread lasts Walk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkFqg5wAuFk 5 minutes alone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7m7njvwB-Ks&feature=channel This Love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tymWpEU8wpM&feature=related Mouth for war http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvzVpw9hWbs&feature=related Cowboys from Hell http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i97OkCXwotE Revolution Is My Name http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XI1DD_vJuY&feature=related Cemetery Gates http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVMvART9kb8
Pantera were pretty cool. I'd say Walk and Cemetary Gates are my favourite songs. I've got to give props to Avenged Sevenfold for their cover of Walk aswell. It's pretty much second to none as far as covers go.
Yeah I though Avenged Sevenfold did it well. They added their own twist to it, which is good because its a cover. And Walk is awesome, im learning that on electric guitar, its fun to play, but the string bending hurts my finger
If Orge from Revenge of the Nerds was a member of a frat house in the early 90s, this would have been his favorite band. It's not my cup of tea, I much prefer Down to Pantera or Superjoint Ritual, but that's just me. Too bad Phil is such a fucking prick, though, amirite?! (I did it Big Willy style with a girl at an abandoned college dorm room in the back of a car, while listening to "Walk". It was different.)
SuperJoint Ritual is ok, didnt last long enough. Down on the other hand is awesome, i love their album NOLA. And Phil is not as much as a ass anymore, he just needs to calm down with the side projects, come on how many different black metal bands can you have? The dude needs to make up his mind what kind of band he wants to play in.
Yes he does, Christ Inversion, Viking Crown (with his old wife), and Eibon. Which all where short lived and made in a short amount of years. And on Pantera's last tour in 2000-2001, he wore shirts of Black metal bands, like Mayhem and Venom. And even wore a Christ Inversion shirt when his short years with the group and Pantera's tour interlocked with each other. Edit: Sorry if i sound like a Know it all, but that is what happens when your a big fan of a band, all the information haha
