    The Simpsons or South Park?

    - two pretty polular cartoon series.

I like both of them (but Mr. Hanky, the Christmas poo and Killed Kenny rules!)

    So, what´s your opinion?

Simpsons are better. South Park just seems like childish immature stuff, like a talking crap for example. :wth:

Ren & Stimpy all the way!!!!

... since when do Ren and Stimpy have sex with each other? :wth:

Are you kidding me? Simpsons is the same thing, smarty.

I'll vote for Simpsons though. They've been around so long and are funnier in my opinion.

Isn't being racist a type of stereotyping?

    Yes. [/b][/quote]
    Nope.

Stereotype: One that is regarded as embodying or conforming to a set image or type.

Racism: Discrimination or prejudice based on race.

Racism is actually discriminating because of one's race.
Stereotype is an oversimplified standardized image or idea held by one person or group.

in other words racism may use stereotypes, but stereotyping does not have to rely on the race. like the stereotypical teenies that we all talk about!

But by being racist, you're stereotyping those people into a group you don't like in a way.

I agree. When you're racist, you don't like a certain group of people and so, if you meet someone of that race, you won't like them just 'cause you already don't like that race...a type of stereotyping.

yeah but that doesn't make stereotyping and racism the same exact thing...it's just like saying that a rectangle is a type of square. all rectangles are squares, but not all squares are rectangles.

 ####, same here. I thought I saw you guys saying it was the same thing. Sorry. Okay, stereotyping my lead to racism, stereotyping although does not directly discriminate.

that's true about Simpsons, that's why i rather watch Simpsons than South Park. :)

In my opinion, Simson has some funnier humor in it South Park is just really dumb. If you watch the Simpsons, you have to know about the other stuff like politics, Hollywood and history and crap. South Park's target is just sellfish. Again, this is my opnion.
