I may have written this already. If i did, than...oh well. This is an award-winning poem that placed second in a state competition. Enjoy! There once was a wolf who lived in the north, A great resounding cry sounds forth. A gray wolf bays at the moon, the great white pines sway and swoon. Stars shimmer like broken glass, a gentle wind caresses the grass, as if the forest knew that peace COULDN'T LAST. The Wolf climbs the rocky granite and howls once again at the glistening moon. When this dreaded gray wolf haunts the dead of night, all other creatures quail in fright. The wise birds of the sky take flight. Lord Of The Forest, the Essence Of Fear, when Gray Wolf is on the hunt, hope that you are nowhere near.
