Listen if you dare to Falling In Reverse's cover of Gangsta's Paradise by Coolio. Coolio himself actually features on the track and in the video. It's so awful. Not only the worst cover ever but probably the worst song in recent times. I know it's a pisstake but whoever the fuck commissioned this should be lined up and shot.
I practically pissed myself when the chorus came! This title should be renamed "What if "Gangsta's Paradise" was created by a 2010s Metal Punk Band?"
The funny thing is, Coolio was upset by the release of Weird Al Yankovic's awesome Amish Paradise because he did not grant permission for it (there was a miscommunication and Al thought he did) but apparently Coolio endorses this piece of fuck.
After hearing this "cover", I wish I was in an Amish Paradise so I don't have to be exposed to this shit!
For anyone who hasn't heard or seen it:
Lost it at 2:34. This is an insult to the original. I can't believe Coolio even gave this shitty-ass band permission to cover his song let alone be in the video. He must really be hurting on money to stoop this low. Guy must have been crying in the inside while doing this video and watching them butcher his classic. A shame, I feel bad even giving these fuckers another view count.
I found it so hilarious that it wasn't even that bad of an experience for me. Especially from 2:34 onwards...I mean...come on.. can't even...
This reminds me of that awful Five Finger Death Punch cover of LL Cool J's Momma Said Knock You Out. I'd say that my least favorite cover is still Scott Weiland's cover of But Not Tonight by Depeche Mode though.
About half an hour ago Five Finger Death Punch's cover of Eric Bourdon and the Animals came on the radio and I thought "Boy, could anyone have possibly done a worse cover of anything?" Welp, leave it to the good ol boys in Falling in Reverse to answer that question in timely manner.
Oh yeah that one is bad. So is anything FFDP does. One of the worst is a cover of Hurt that Sevendust did on their live album years ago. Unless you're Johnny Cash, don't cover Hurt. Just.....don't.
You serious? There nothing bad about their version whatsoever. If anything it's more faithfull than Jonnny cashes version. Sorry Clint lowery, you only have a voice like Trent Reznor your not at liberty to do any covers of NIN songs. Sure opinions are opinions. But I fail to see how their version is anywhere near as bad as any of these mentioned in this thread.
