It starts with an H i believe, named after an Island. I just can't seem to remember.
Burning up the skies? In not up.
And what the heck. Theyre hating. Great departure? No way.
The Requiem has already been confirmed as a track with singing on it by multiple reviews . . .
I know, i was just making the point that even if they would be instrumental, it would not be bad at all or not a reason to complain before hearing at least. I know that also Fallout will have Mike's vocals. So there is no reason about whining on interludes nor having "just" 9 tracks. Cause they are not 9, they are 15.
oh well, just the way you worded your post made it seem like you thought it was just an intro.
What an awful review.
It's interesting that on the Fort Minor DVD, when Mike is talking with Jay-Z about the intros and outros, along with middle interludes, Mike said something like "No, you put an intro, an outro and an interlude on a 15 track album, and that's a 12 track album, fans will see right through that..."
I know many of us remember him saying that on the Fort Minor DVD...and now we are having this discussion....
Massive Attack's Heligoland. It's my cocaine from Helgoland until I get A Thousand Suns worth of meth at Linkin Park.
From reading this review, it sounds like he only likes radio friendly songs. Radio friendly = pop
Thank Ivy. I knew Massive Attacks album was named that, but I was actually interested in the Overseer song Heligoland. You should give it a listen;
It's some relaxing music with a cool voice over. Kinda spooky at the end. Enjoyable though. Tell me what you think.
it's good background music; Also if you haven't looked at what Heligoland is. Wiki it, very cool little island. Great song to get high to.. lol I digress.
I don't mind them not liking the album, but the entire point of the review seems to be confrontational toward fans.
This is his personal blog/wordpress - have a look at some of his other reviews and you'll get an idea of any bias (if any exists) http://jasontreuen.wordpress.com/
I think he has a personal hate on Linkin Park actually. Look how he fails on attempting to put them down and say negative stuff about them. The fact of the matter is, there aren't any.
EDIT: Okay, maybe there could a couple flaws in the album. Sorry.
They are useless IMO.
They're just fillers. This is a CD, not a storybook.
I know it's cool to have a story within a CD, but 5 interludes is way too excessive.
I also find it funny that people call this a "bad review" only because it has some negative criticism towards our beloved Linkin Park.
Suck it up. The CD is not and WILL NOT be perfect. There are flaws. I haven't listened to the CD, and I'm 100% sure that there's going to be elements in there that are absolute garbage (for example, why the fuck would they autotune Chester?)
Don't call this a bad review. I'm glad I can hear both perspectives (positive and negative) in different reviews. It gives me a better feel for the album.
But this guy sucks at reviewing the record. If it was bad and had some actual reasons why, I would understand. But this is just putting down LP for nothing. He can't really give proper reasons why this sucks. All he has is something about linkin park's unclear direction...
Thanks for contributing to the discussion.
Ive been contributing the last few pages, where were you?
I was busy spilling over a brand new track that bumps in my car!!!
Speaking of W&K, does anybody know what the hell Chester is saying? It's pretty weird lol
