Although, now you mention it, I swear there was something about the pope in a song here recently... :hmm:

What's up with all this "pop" stuff you guys speak of? Wasn't there a time when "pop" meant "popular?" If so Linkin Park has alway been pop.

Hmm. Lots of mixed reviews on Mike's rapping. It's tempting to listen myself but I'll resist. 11 more days damn it.

Sounds like this album's Leave Out All The Rest.

And of course, the band just HAS to sing about lies. Lies lies lies. We get it.

After listening to it once, I'm not too excited for this track, it sounds more like a radio-style single than anything we've heard so far.

There's this thing about language in which it changes over time. Just because something meant something back then doesn't mean it means that now. Gay used to mean happy or jolly, and that's obviously different now.

Pop is now a specific genre of music, not just an adjective to describe something as well known.

Woooow!, I need to stop playing it or I'm gonna get sick of it before it's even out! I f-ing love it!, brilliant lyrics just in that 28 seconds, and holy shit Mike's part sounds like Sublime! xD I ABSOLUTELY CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS ONE. My favorite song from the album on spot, I can tell.

Caution: Not meant to offend anyone!

The Pope is a dope rapper, you need to pay a little more attention, when everyone turns their back he rips up the track.

Edit: Sorry, double posted, wont happen again.. =S

Sweet jeebus! Its 28 seconds long and 6-7 seconds of that is Mike.
We can judge TC, we can judge W & K but we cannot judge this based on 28 seconds!

Anyone remember the MTM 30 sec preview clips????

Sure, your opinion. But personally, this Sounds COMPLETELY different from anything we've heared. If this is like Leave out all the rest, when does that song have rapping in it? When does it have an awesome pitched melody? I thought LOATR was a bit boring. Anyway, Gay still means Happy ;) To about %50 of people.

It's strange. Usually I don't connect with Linkin Park songs from clips. NEVER. I hated The Catalyst until we had the full song, now it's one of my favorite songs ever. I like Wretches & Kings, but not more than The Catalyst. I'm really feeling this song. I'm thinking I'm feeling a connection with the lyrics because I recently buried my best friend who died in Afghanistan. I know LP said each person will interpret songs a different way, but I'm just taking this song that way from the 30 second clip so far. I'm lovin it. Can't wait to hear more. So far though, not one song has disappointed me.

    Yo yo,
I was left and my mind was gone
I thought it was Right but that right was wrong

    Absolutely love this part.

In the second line, does he say my fire was gone?

I'm not going to listen to anything else. I want to replicate the how I felt when I first heard HT. The Catalyst and Wretches and Kings will have to do.

    Too short a snippet. :D

It's like hearing the soft "I put my trust in you, pushed as far as I can go" part of In The End.
And this track is where the "forfeit the game" references are in, right? I'm hoping this song will be rap heavy.

There's a distinct difference between reggae and pop. I really can't see how one would interpret that tiny little snippet of Mike's rapping as 'pop'. Get a grip.
