    I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!
Linkin Park Association is a kick ass site, we all know that and so I think we should discuss ways we can bring in more traffic and forum members to the LPA.
I know you (aka Derek) have been saying they will come in time (which they will) but I want them now!
*jumps and and down like a little baby who isn't getting what he wants*
Maybe we can find ways to boost traffic?

Maybe like a promotion: "Join now, stay active and get 120+ posts and win *enter awesome minor but cool prize here*"....I wish. lol

This site has a right to advertise itself because the LPA is every bit as awesome as we claim it is. :)

Put this image on your websites if you have one.
If you do, remember to resize it.

How about creating an associates marquee that has a banner of LPA on it. We do it all the time on RPG sites. We have a particular part of the forum dedicated to advertisements of other sites and we exchange banners on both sites, theirs on ours, and ours on them to get the word out. I mean, I would put LPA up on my new forum site that I created a few days ago (10 members so far) in exchange.

Your support means a lot guys. While I won't speak on behalf of the rest of the staff as to what ideas/suggestions we'll implement, I can guarantee you that we'll definitely pay attention to this thread and see what suggestions you guys have. Thanks for your desire to help us out!

Promotion on other sites has to be done IMO. I mean the contest concept that we use now on LPA it works but only for a minute. These are people are signing up strictly for the contest sake and will leave as soon as it's over. At the end of the day its still the same 10-20 people who stay on. I think the LPA Band thing is a hell of an idea. A more active youtube channel could work.

I was actually thinking about creating a small LPA themed game... I didn't know if I would ever complete it so of course I never even mentioned it..

    Try it.....
Pick 10 LPA members, they can be known as the Association and they're trying to take down other bands evil snitches so they don't cheat the charts and force their band up to the top overtaking Linkin Park.
    How does that sound?

Truth be told, one of the best things all of you guys can do if you want to promote us is to be logged on and contribute/post as often as possible so that the forums stay refreshed with topics, and replies on every visit. This isn't just towards the people in this thread, but to everyone who still visits (including the guests). While promoting our site on facebook, other sites and LP message boards is a good idea, the biggest turn off to any new member is to come online and see almost nobody in the active users list, or that some forums have gone without new posts for a few days. I know many of you have moved on from Linkin Park, and some of you are only here for the community, but a community cannot thrive without activity. Post more (while promoting us) and these forums will be a lot busier in no time. Guaranteed.

And if anybody here knows people who haven't been on in a while (Marj, JD, Debs to name a few of the good ones) write them and tell them they're sorely missed. I'm particularly curious as to what happened with Debs, as she was one of our top posters...and just fell off the face of the earth.
