A simple question, but maybe a tough decision to make. Just post what album you wish you'd made and also the reason for your choice.
I wish I'd made Funeral for a Friend's Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation. The first time I heard that album, I was blown away. There's only one song I don't like. Bonus points if you know which song. When I write music, or at least my "heavier" music, I tend to write music that sounds like Funeral for a Friend, and more specifically, Casually Dressed. I think it's a perfect album, even with the one song I don't like.
This is a tough one..but Circa Survive's On Letting Go The lyrics mean a lot to me and helped me during a time when I was TRYING to Let Go of things and it just helped a ton.
yeh it is a though one.. but i'd have to say MuteMaths self titled album.. after seeing them live and hearing the tracks on the disc i was gob-smacked. MuteMath are one of a kind IMO
NIN's The Fragile The layers and textures are incredible in that song, Trent saw and did things no one else would ever have thought of/bothered with.
Innerpartysystem's self-titled; specifically, "Die Tonight, Live Forever", 'cause I started out trying to make stuff like that and, to date, I've never really succeeded in making a beat as awesome as the one in that song, in my opinion. And, progressing from that ... still on the sound-texture thing, "Year Zero"; some of the feats on that album, I continue to be amazed by.
