i dont think LP should cover Queen. Queen tracks are better felt alone, 'cos most Queen covers sound cheap and nasty to me :/
I think an LP version of Bohemian Rhapsody would be pretty cool, i think they would do it well. I dont think they should though, i think something like Bicycle Race just for fun or Don't Stop Me Now
Mike rap the first verse!! and sing it too! no no no. Can't be done. Leave the song to queen, let them cover something else. Like ummm Like A rolling stone from bob dylan. nope, can't do that either.
I think LP performing Bohemian Rhapsody wouldn't quite work. Chester may do well on the vocals, but Mike can't do all the backing vocals. Also, I doubt the keyboard they use for shows would do justice. I think they'd be better off doing a more energetic Queen song.
I can't be stuffed to read the thread but Chester couldn't do Bohemian Rapsody properly if someone held a gun to his head and said "SIIIINNNGG" Freddie Mercury would do a bang up job, I reckon.
Another thought, besides the already brilliant idea of covering "Who Wants To Live Forever" and/or "The Show Must Go On" would be to do "Under Pressure," especially considering it was a David Bowie/Queen collaboration designed with two vocal parts. Go back to the original version with those dual vocal parts (instead of Mercury doing it all like the Queen live shows) for Mike and Chester. Additional support for "Under Pressure": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faUuwRDRrqA&feature=related The clip is from Queen's 1986 live performance at Wembley Stadium in London. It includes a couple minutes of Freddie Mercury interacting with the crowd in the beginning by doing a tremendous back and forth singing competition.
