No you did not just say that. H! VLTG3 is amazing, as is most of Reanimation. It makes an overall weak album, one of their best albums.
If "tracks" are included, I will go with Empty Spaces... If not, Standing in the Middle. I know it's just Mike with Motion Man, but is in a LPU, and I hate that shit. From Linkin Park, I will go with Sold My Soul to Yo Mama, or, maybe QWERTY studio version. It's not bad, but the live version from 2006 make the studio version seems so bad IMO
Hit The Floor, LGM and Victimized. If we're counting remixes too I'd definitely add H! VLTG3 and that one W&K remix (I don't remember which one though).
Btw, not counting remixes or interludes, I'm going with The Messenger, BID and Leave Out All The Rest (despite the good lyrics).
I'd have to say By Myself. If its not limited to studio albums then definitely Forgotten (Demo), Esaul, Blue, Slip, and Stick N' Move. I really dislike a lot of the Hybrid Theory demos.
Then we have on REALLY different opinions, because I'm the HT-era Demos fanatic. I prefer the HT Demos 99999x times over the album versions. They were much more raw and just better sounding than Don Gilmore's and Warner's versions. They're so MUCH better IMO. The bridge of Rhinestone, the rap part in Crawling, the chorus of SuperXero and of Esaúl and the "sink or swim part" of PAA. Damn, Esaúl made get me into LP in mid-2010. Without it, I wouldn't be here.
I don't prefer all the HT instead to album songs, but all the parts that you cited (except SuperXero and Esaul chorus) should be maintained in final versions, IMO. Especially "sink or swim" part from POA demo, this had a lot of energy that could be awesome live And I want to included the end from Esaul (a mix between final and demo version) and, maybe, the end from Papercut demo (I liked a lot of the final version end, but liked the final of the demo too...)
Wow! I can't remember the last time I logged on. Anyway my vote is for The Messenger/I'll Be Gone. I hate saying the word "worst" and LP in the same sentence, but I like them less and less each time I hear those songs.
My two least favorite songs by them are Given Up and What I've Done. If I had to choose the worst song by Linkin Park, it'd probably be What I've Done.
Craawwwwwwwling iiiiiiin my skiiiiiiiin. I'll be gonnnnnnnnnne, i'll be gonnnnnnnnne. We're bulding it uuuuuuuuuuuuuuup, to burn it back dooowwwwwwwwn. I'm starting to see a correlation between my least favourite LP songs.
They all have notes that are sung for more than one beat? I'm swimming in the smooooooooooke / of bridges I have buuuuuuuuurned Cause I'm ooooooonly a craaaaaaaaack / In this caaaaaaaaaaastle of glaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaass Do you feel cooooooooooold and lost in desperaaaaaaaaaaatioooooooooon? Holding on to what I haven't gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot I don't get it.
hmm I dont think i can point the finger to one particular song, but I think my least favourites from each album are: One step closer (Remix is superior) Crawling (Again, remix is superior. Sounds empty without the strings) Somewhere I belong (only cause of the lyrics) Numb (Too safe) Leave out the Rest (like it better than i used to, but still not a fave) What I've Done (rocky, but not original enough really) Burn it Down (too safe and radio friendly) I used to dislike BITS and Iridescent originally, but now I really have grown to like them quite a bit.
