    Kick-Ass 5/5
This movie was really great. The plot was great, humor was really funny and was just a really good movie. Hit Girl/Mindy stole this movie. By far the best character in this movie. I suggest everyone checks it out

    Zwartboek (Black Book)

A Dutch film from 2006 that tells the story of a young Jewish woman in the Netherlands who becomes a spy for the resistance during World War II after tragedy befalls her in an encounter with the Nazis.
In 2008 it was voted for the best Dutch movie ever.
    I quite enjoyed it.

    8/10

    Recently? Hmm...
The Shawshank Redemption - 10/10 Absolutely masterpiece after years, deserve a ten
The Man Who Stare At Goat - 9/10 Ridiculous, but really funny.
Up In The Air - 8/10 Not that a comedy..except the "can sir/cancer" line, but it's still good.
The Informant - 4/10 Don't get the point of the whole movie, strange for me. I want my Bourne back, Matt.
Crazy Heart - 10/10 Jeff deserve an Oscar for this film! Just enjoyed the music and the story line, love it.

    Kick Ass 4/5

It had so much potential! If only the movie took itself seriously ...
4 stars just for the third act

    KICK-ASS (2010)

    9/10

Too awesome. Nine out of ten just for the movie experience. Good times.

Also, quite the treat that they used the theme - in the house - in a heartbeat... in several scenes. Very fitting.

He did win an Oscar for his performance ;)

Over the last few weeks I've seen a couple of things...

    Hot Fuzz. 3/5
Not as good as Shaun of the Dead but still pretty awesome. I thought it started off great, but as the story progressed it gradually ran out of steam.

    The Thing. 4.5/5
Great movie! The physical special effects blew me away. It's hard to believe that they could pull off some of the things they did here, back in 1983! I loved the secluded/away-from-society setting the film had... it really helped heighten the level of suspense and fear.

    Training Day. 5/5
Probably one of the best police films ever made. I was hooked right from the get-go! The story kept me at the edge of my seat throughout the film. But what really made the movie for me was Denzel Washington's performance. He was simply amazing!

Bride Wars: The first time I watched it I never finished till the ending so I gave low score but now having watched till the ending I change my mind its 9/10. I got this feeling of missing my bestfriendsss. <3

    The X-Files: I want to believe: 8/10

Killshot: 9/10. Joseph Gordon-Levitt looks like Matt Heafy in this movie.

    P.s I Love You 3/10
Hilary Swank is fugly seriously and ruined the whole movie for me.

    [REC]. 5/5
Probably the best movie experience I've ever had. It was so riveting that I forgot that I was watching a movie and was totally sucked into it. The direction, acting, gore, build-up of suspence, horror basically everything was on point. Had my mouth hanging low by the end of it.

    [REC] 2. 4.5/5
Just as good as the first one. The new plot development and twists really impressed me. But the "surprise elements" that the first one had didn't affect me as much in this one. Still a very solid sequel. Can't wait for part 3.

Watch both these movies. They are, without a doubt, the best in the hand-held camera sub-genre and blow Blair Witch/Cloverfield/Paranormal Activity out of the water!

    Revolver. 3/5
The plot kind of went in a very abstract direction towards the end and got really confusing. But overall it was still enjoyable.

I love [REC], and I've heard a lot of positive things about this one. I definitely need to check it out.

Aren't they in Spanish though? I heard a film called Quarantine was an English remake thats fairly good, i tend to get annoyed with subtitles unless its Battle Royale...

I went back and watched Planet of the apes, then realised why it got so panned by critics, 3/10 - How the hot lady found makeup and hair curlers i will never know

Also saw 40 Year old virgin, criminally i had still not seen this, enjoyed it a lot, very funny 8/10 - Never get bored of Carrell or Rogen

Got to watch Descent 2 this week, and perhaps a re-viewing for some old classics, maybe Training Day and Fight Club

They are in Spanish. But I normally don't have any problem with subtitles. And why watch the remake when the originals are still very relevant (part two just came out last year)?
