    Adventureland - 8/10

This is something I really enjoyed. Great acting, in my opinion. A near-perfect mix of comedy and drama.

Been playing Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 with my friends lately, so I decided to watch

28 Days Later: 8/10 pretty damn awesome overall.
28 Weeks Later: 7/10 Not as good as the first but damn did it have some very intense scenes. I really loved the night scope scene on the staircase, holy shit.

Looking forward to 28 Months Later

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps - 7/10
Well acted for the most part. Though some parts just dragged through.

    Source Code - 8/10.

Doesn't make sense if you think about it too hard, but it was a well put together movie. Plus I love Michelle Monaghan. So attractive.

I'm a creative writer, and for my latest (rather ambitious, maybe overambitious) project I'm undertaking a coming-of-age period piece about the last decade, in much the same way that film and literature now treat the 50s and 60s. For this reason, I'm immersing myself in different media and events that I perceive to be important in understanding the previous decade; one of those things is movies about war in the Middle East, such as Jarhead. I know there are more of them out there, but unfortunately that's the only one I know by name. Anyone got any they could recommend? I'd prefer a post-9/11 release, of course.

Just watched Megamind. Is Dreamworks on some sort of odd/even curse? Make a good movie, put out a terrible one? It's probably the worst movie I've seen from them.

Limitless - Fairly entertaining. Bradley Cooper holds his own against De Niro for sure.
Tron: Legacy - I enjoyed this movie quite a bit in theatres, but I was mainly watching for Quorra. I mean, um, Olivia Wilde. Yeah. Um...

Yeah, I thought it was ok too. I was surprised they advertised it as a comedy though.

That movie has the absolute perfect description of Rock Me Amadeus.

    Tangled (2010) - 2/5

+1 for the horse, +1 for the color pallet, -3 for being the most morally backward, twisted Disney film I've ever seen.

    Great fucking movie!

I know right! I was about to write it off based on how it was marketed. It wasn't until I read a few reviews before I was actually interested in watching this film.

One of the most disappointing sequels I've come across.

Just saw this last night. I'd give it about the same rating.

I recommend it to anyone that liked Inception. Of course, it's not nearly as complex as that

    Hobo with a Shotgun - 7/10

I thought this movie would be as awesome as it sounds, it could have been better, the color palette is fucking awesome though.

honestly in this past year I've seen so many random trailers of what looks to be some of the worst animated films in history. Both disney and dreamworks and pixar.
    Some look just honestly ridiculous.

On a slightly related note, How To Train Your Dragon kicks so much ass. Almost as much, if not equal to, Toy Story 3.

Just in case nobody here hasn't seen it yet, SEE IT.

    Steamboy - 2.5/5

Amazing animation quality and visuals...... but halfway through the movie the suspension bridge of disbelief does a galloping gertie. Loved the first half, but it failed to prop up the second half right.

Might be watching this in like 10 minutes. Will update when finished. I've been pumped about this one for awhile.

Edit: That was pretty bad. I know it was intentionally made that way, but that doesn't make it better. For a grinder film like that, I was expecting a lot more action and blood. It was just boring most of the time. 4/10
