I find the majority of r'n'b music to be really irratating and predictable so that would be the genre that i would love to be non existent.

    None.

I don't see any point in abolishing types of music. No matter what the genre, someone somewhere enjoys it, and I rather not abolish it just because I don't like it.

There's been a lot of stuff in every genre that I like, but right now, I can't stand listenning to hardly any hip hop. I like what Nelly did with Tim McGraw. Yeah, it is a pretty corny song, but being able to have two artists in two totally different artists is incredible.

That's why I dig Linkin Park so much. You have to give them respect. They've been one of the many artists to influence people to bring different styles of music together. I think it's great.

I suppose that there are people who like the stuff, but I wish my dentist's office wouldn't play muzak all the time. It's adding insult to injury, having to hear Kenny G while getting your teeth and gums poked at with sharp metal objects. Oh, the pain...

Does anyone else think it's really stupid to abolish a genre just for the simple reason that it annoys you?

How would you fill it this actually happen, and your favorite genre was destroyed?

Well it was asked what genres we wanted abolished and I'm just giving my opinion, regardless of who might like the genres. Just my opinion.

It's a personal choice. The question wasn't "even though this'll affect other people, pick a genre to abolish". It was question of personal choice, not one based on how it would affect others.

Now, if it was my choice, I'd get rid of pop-punk. Examples: Good Charlotte, Simple Plan. And no, I don't care how it'd affect other people because that isn't the question.

Here, i'll do it for you.

Hum... i guess if i had to abolish a genre or die, i'd pick emo- punk. Or emo- pop. Actually, anything emo besides Atreyu and a couple of other bands

Must I refer to my post that this is about personal tastes and not how it affects others?
