It was Lance Armstrong who had cancer but he didn't die.
i know i got messed up,and i also forgot to put his name
Most people wear them just cause those rubber kind of bracelets are "in" right now. Seriously, the people around here can't even explain what they're wearing it for.
ARGH! I dunno how it is everywhere else but in the UK they started off with blue ones for a bullying thing but then everyone started bringing them out! Its something thats really started to piss me off because everyone is buying them because they are cool at the moment and so many people don't have a fucking clue what they are for, it defeats the object of showing support for a charity when you don't know what the charity is or even does! I know that where I live shops have started selling fakes for over the top prices! I can't belive these people are making a fucking profit from something that started off being for charity- doesn't it kind of defeat the object!!!!! [/rant]
Everyone around he used to wear a Livestrong bracelet. Not many people do now. I was one of those people that never had one.
Yes, these bracelets seem to be the "in" thing right now. I'm kind of disappointed by it since most of the people who wear it were in no way affected by cancer or even show interest on the subject. For the people who wear it for it's purpose, however, I do respect. It does seem like a nice way to show your support. I just don't like how it became some fashion trend. Personally, I have two bracelets. A livestrong bracelet that a friend gave me after my mentioning how I wanted one and one that simply says "Will Power" in hopes that I may gain it.
Thank you! I was just about to start yelling. Yeah, a bunch of people in my school have them too.
I found that funny, he died then decided to sell bands
well, i dont have one, but in my school everybody else does. In my opinion, this might get far away form the objective
