I had Reanimation and Meteora. I needed to complete the collection (This was before Live in Texas came out).
In Nov 2001 My cousin taped "Crawling" off a countdown show on the radio and when we were at the mall he kept telling me about this great new band and I told him they were all the same (wasn't too much into rock then lol) he finally bugged me enough and I listened to it. I liked it but didn't think it was the greatest, then ironically about a week or so I heard "In The End" on the radio and it was one of those life altering moments lol, I ran upstairs and ordered the cd and became a hardcore fan since, they were my favorite band even before Meteora came out.
I was watching WWF (back when they WERE WWF) and a commercial came up with One Step Closer as the music. I don't have a good memory, so I jotted down 'Lincoln Park' (because that's what I thought it was... bad hearing as well) on a sheet of paper and started asking around about the band. I eventually downloaded it off the internet. Later on, In The End hit radio stations and everyone was talking about the band... not realizing that I was trying to figure out who they were before and didn't realize it was the same band. So I bought the CD.
i heard numb on tv, so i liked the band alot.....i was given meteora as a birthday present, and then reanimation as an x-mas gift, and then i got hybrid theory on my own.
My friend burned me a copy because I wanted to hear them. I remember the first time hearing it. I was playing a game so I wasn't exactly concentrating on the music, and I remember thinking ''wow this sucks.'' Then I listened to it again and I've liked them ever since. I still remember seeing LP's One Step Closer video as ''Buzzworthy'' on mtv.
My friend gave me a CD with trailers an there i saw a trailer with DBZ and in the background i heard the song In the end and... i had to buy the CD men than i got the Meteora and i got to the conclusion i like LP...and so it began B)
in 2003 i saw numb video clip and i fell in love with this song!!!!! so the last summer i bought the album, meteora... after in the cd collection of my brother i found a copy of HT... i listened all song of the album, and at the end of the summer i bought the original cd of HT with frat party!!!!!!!!
After hearing One Step Closer on the radio I told my friend about them. He, being a rampant CD buyer, immediately went out and bought it, and knowing that I liked it burned it for me. However, being a music lover, I don't burn music that I really like, and I went out and bought the album. I actually lost the CD and bought another copy recently.
My brother bought it, stole it from him, and I learned to like LP that way. That convinced me to buy Reanimation and Meteora.
It all began when a friend of mine lent me her copy of HT, and since I became addicted to it..I decided to buy one of my own. A simple story, really.
I got after I heard Crawling and In The End. I have liked LP ever since. My friend had Hybrid Theory and brought it over and I liked those two songs a lot. Then I started to like more like Papercut and Points of Authority, and eventually the whole CD. I got HT in 2000 or 2001. I still have the same copy!
