Besides Meteora being hands down the best workout album every, I have all the heavy LP songs, lots of Travis Barker, Hollywood Undead, TobyMac, and Eminem on my Workout playlist. Heavy rap/rock (or as you can see a fusion of both) gets the weights movin and rope skippin for me. I know most people listen to rap or metal, but I have a friend that said he recently turned to dubstep.

What do yall like? (if not working out, whatever activity you do, like running.)

    edit: Minus, we know

My own heartbeat. If you need music to keep you occupied, you're probably not working out hard enough.

Shit, I've been doing it wrong! I forgot how motivated I get when I hear all the other gym people grunting and breathing heavy.

I usually listen to some house or trance when I'm running.

Depends on what I'm doing. If it's strength training, I can listen to just about anything. If it's cardio, I need to listen to something heavy and/or energetic: Gallows, Converge, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Pantera, etc.

Mostly epic instrumental music. I'm looking at artists like The Black Mages, God Is An Astronaut, Explosions In The Sky, E.S. Posthumus, et cetera.

Linkin Park: Hybrid Theory, Meteora, Minutes to Midnight, and A Thousand Suns.

    Plain and simple, haha.

To each their own. For some (like me) , music definitely helps push their limits.

My "pre-workout supplement" includes watching: http://www.youtube.com/user/HanhChampion

During Workout: Depends on my mood, but I shit you not the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0KOfTV1dbc theme song works everytime. That, and any video game music. Lately, I've been listening to RZA's Fatal. :D

    Performance:
    Max Bench: 205 lbs
    Max Deadlift: 225 lbs
    Max Squat: 225 lbs

    Height - 5'11
    Weight - 172 lbs
    Bodyfat 15 - 20% ? (haven't checked in a while )

Aim: 180 lbs, 12 - 15% bodyfat, Six 45 plates on every compound exercise.

Pantera is the only real answer to this.

This also goes for those dark moments where you find yourself with a razor blade in your hand.

Usually if anything I just put a podcast on or have all my music on shuffle. I don't really listen to anything as such.

I apologize, but whatever you may be alluding to, your issues or whatever, have absolutely nothing to do with this thread. I'm not trying to sound like a mod for anyone reading this, it's just I mean. What the hell.

    -----------

In any case, I just finished a workout to chiptune music. Oddly satisfying.

Gee, I'm not surprised you'd be the one that gets in a hissy fit over me being me and not directly saying, "HEY GUYS THEY ALSO HAVE REALLY DARK, SUICIDAL SHIT THAT YOU COULD WORK OUT TOO IF YOU WANTED, LIKE THIS SONG CALLED SUICIDE NOTE PTS 1 & 2".

    My bad.

Also, dude above me has the right idea. Pantera is the only answer, it's very manly music.
