Numerous reasons: 01) I hated it. 02) It was an irrelevant forum. 03) It was seldom used. 04) Most of the times when it was used it was used for the wrong purpose. Seems nobody could get a handle on what that forum was meant for. (Perhaps because of Reason 2) 05) It's part of our ongoing attempt to streamline the forums by eliminating clutter and shifting a few things around. 06) I really hated it.
It was an area to test out signatures, avatars and forum tags. Although i can't remember the last time somebody used the forum for that purpose.
Well, considering you can test signatures by clicking 'preview signature' and by postwhoring in general, I can see why it never got any attention.
I noticed it was gone, and smiled a little bit haha. I don't understand why anyone would have wanted to post in it. It's not like it counts towards post count.
For the lulz. Many forums back in the day used to have a sub-forum for that very effective. They've since been phased out, but they were always a nice reminder of where forums used to come from.
Eh, that shouldn't really be used as a "rule" as far as what to post in there. Just something goofy the admins came up with. Like the description for the Linkin Park Chat forum.
