I find that Linkin Park's most depressing songs lyrically provide the most uplifting experiences overall. In Pieces, Powerless, and Iridescent all come to mind.

Not Alone and In Pieces tbh. nothing from the first two albums I really consider sad. VD is sad lyrically. My December is sad. Leave Out all the Rest can be considered sad but I don't see it that way, it see it positively. Nothing from ATS is that sad IMO, same with LT. So top sad ones I'd say: Not Alone, In Pieces, and My December (no order).

I've always viewed In Pieces as kind of a ''fuck you'' to an ex. Chester has said that before, but I know all people interpret songs differently. To me, it's kind of saying something like, ''Hey, look at me, I'm doing well and I'm doing well for myself, and you are falling apart, and you're going to wish you never left me''.

Maybe Minutes to Midnight as a whole. The album was depressing as hell, especially the political and personal tones and themes of the album. It either spews angst, fear or sadness. It was an emo-ish album, but it was still a good album nonetheless. Other than that, some sad songs could be "My December", "Not Alone", "Roads Untraveled" or "Iridescent".

It's between "My December" and "Little Things" for me. Most of the other songs that people call "sad", I interpret to be optimistic.

It's sad that Meteora is considered music.

Powerless actually made me cry and Iridescent came pretty close to it.

Roads Untraveled is one that make you sad but in a way makes you smile at the end. My December is the one for me.

    Across The Line
    Not Alone
I don't know why, but also Robot Boy - especially after watching an unofficial music video with snippets of video with band members and live performances.
    Iridescent and Powerless of course

I don't know if this would count, but She Couldn't. Probably because it reminds me of a personal experience.

But if that doesn't count, than..... mmh..... Robot Boy?

I think Numb is there most honestly sad song. Also I wouldnt say iridescent is sad, I'd say its uplifting but speaks from a sad place.

Leave out all the rest and Valentine's day. I remember just bawling like a little girl listening to these songs. In my remains was kind of sad as well, just how it felt so relevant with me.
