Will LIVING THINGS still be GREAT after million times of listening?
In a discussion with A Thousand Suns, that album's still fresh after 10000000 times I've listened. Each time, I feel like discovering some new sounds in 2010's record.
First impression of LIVING THINGS is very BIG. But I wonder if it will become boring after times...
    Anyone think like me?

There are lots of layers going on. I don't see how it could become boring fast.

I seriously doubt you've listened to ATS ten million times... :D

But yeah, I don't see this album becoming boring - ATS still sounds fresh to me, and at the moment I'm liking LT even better. And I keep finding new little sounds and loops in the shitty rips, so my mind will probably be blown when I get my CD.

Maybe I'm listening to it too frequently (3 times today), but everything seems familiar already... and not as good.

Need an answer? Try asking my Windows Media Player. I'm definitely not bored of LT, it really has that timeless feel. I think that's why I put it up there with ATS: timelessness. I never got tired of ATS after almost 2 years of listening to it, and so far with LT, I've been replaying every song (mostly LITE, IMR, RU, and POWERLESS). No doubt, it will never get boring for me.

Honestly, is anything still "GREAT" after a million listen? Unless you're one of those human beings who doesn't get bored from overt repetition no matter how interesting the subject, then you will get bored after a million listen. It's like drugs. The high eventually wears off no matter how great the drugs were.

For me, I don't think it'll get boring.

The excitement about it will cool off, but we will get used to it and it will be another Linkin Park record we enjoy listening to here and there.

It'll never get boring. I bought the album today and played it in my car. Every song was exhilarating and felt like I'd only just listened to the songs first there, even though it's been, what, 13 days since?

At least sixty listens later, still remains a great album

I listened to Meteora a thousand times, and it never got boring...and Living Things is a better album, so I don't think it will get boring.

Short answer: Yes. I'm loving all the intricacies to the tracks.

Long answer: No, listening to it a million times would mean you listen to it non stop for 25,625 days. Which equates to 70.16 years of constant listening. Assuming an average life span for an Australian male (78) and the fact that I'm 19 already, getting bored wouldn't be my main problem. I would die first. So I'd never know if LT would be great after listening to it a million times.

I like LIVING THINGS, but I'm already bored of it. It just seems like Linkin Park took a step back from their uber-creativity to appease Hybrid Theory fans.

A Thousand Suns is an album that I can listen to from The Requiem to The Messenger on any day, in any occasion and thoroughly enjoy it.

In fact, this morning on my drive to work I switched from LIVING THINGS to a radio station mid-way through the CD. I've never done that in my 11 years of Linkin Park fandom.

In terms of longevity, Living Things won't be as great as A Thousand Suns. Whereas ATS was crafted into sonic landscapes, LT was designed to be a fire-cracker album; landscapes take time to see all of but are extremely beautiful, while fire-crackers immediately excite, but it's all over after that big-ass explosion.

I don't think I'll ever get bored of Living Things, it's just to amazing! I think the only problem is that it feels to short to me just like Hybrid Theory. They're both so amazing that I just want more when it ends. I might be the only one, but I can't listen to ATS as much as I can with the other albums, same with M2M. I have to be in a certain mood to even want to listen to those albums straight through.
