How come all the guitars in the Xero songs have a really bad quality? They have hiss and stuff. Wasnt the song made in the 90s?
its more likely its the quality of the mp3 you are listening to that is bad, rather than it being the guitars.
No. The quality of the mp3 is part of it but hardly the reason. Just because it was made in the 90's doesnt mean crap. It was recorded with cheap recording equipment and the mp3s were made from a tape, not a cd. Plus they were demos recorded at Mike's house I believe. Demos+not the best equipment+mp3s from a tape=Low quality songs. They probably got better equipment for the Hybrid Theory EP (it was two years after the xero tape was made) and they also put it on a cd. Which explains why the EP sounds so great. Hope my explanation helps.

I somehow doubt that would ever happen, but it would be neat if they did. I kinda think the crappyness about the mp3s or whatever is kind of neat because it's the stuff they did in the VERY beginning. It shows that even back then, they were good.
it was made on a ghetto 4 track recorder, which gives alot hiss and really doesnt master the sound quality, a higher multi track recorder woulda clear that up through the mixer
I think that LP should re-record the 3 songs, kinda like they did for Rhinestone which turned out to be Forgotten. This way they will still be awesome songs, and will be in great quality. They should put these songs on their next CD or on a DVD.
Technically "FRGT/10" wasn't the remake of Rhinestone. They just brought back lyrics from the oldie. I don't think they could bring them back because if I'm not mistaken, Mark (I forgot his last name) is the singer back in Xero, and not Chester. I think they'd have to do some uh... copyright (?) agreements and just for the songs--That's a bit of trouble.
