Dream Theater - "Awake" Genre: Progressive Metal Dream Theater - "A Dramatic Turn of Events" Genre: Progressive Rock / Progressive Metal
Radiohead - Kid A Genre: Electronica; Experimental Rock; Ambient; Post-Rock This album flows quite well despite the vocals still not being the best part of this band for me. Idioteque is among my favorites from this one.
Whitechapel - The Somatic Defilement (Remastered) [Deathcore] Whitechapel - This Is Exile (Deathcore) Converge - The Dusk In Us (Hardcore)
Tame Impala - Lonerism Genre: Psychadelic Rock; Psychadelic Pop; Neo--Psychadelia Not as good as Currents, but still a good one, especially in terms of the instrumentation. It's a very colorful album, just not as good as their newest album. Vocally not that good either. St Vincent - Masseduction Genre: Pop; New Wave; Glam Rock; Ambient Rock; Electropo; Techno One of the good 2017 albums, but not one of the best since the first 4 tracks are not that good. She has a very good voice on most of the other tracks, though and some melodies are quite good. Lady Antebellum - Heart Break Genre: Country Good album as well, but not they'll never reach the same level they had in the song Need You Now. I wish I could have more of Hillary Scott's vocals. In some songs the duets are not balanced and her voice fails to shine. The highlights are You Look Good, Somebody Else's Heart, Think About You, Stars and the slower jam Big Love In a Small Town (very likely to be the best song). If it hadn't been for 3 songs, this album would be among the best. The cover is not good and actually the worst part The xx - xx Genre: Dream Pop; Indie Pop; Indie Rock Instrumetally perfect thoughout the whole record especially in the Intro, one of the best album openers I've heard. Would have liked 1 more song at least, so in the end it's a bit short. Vocally nothing impressive, but they don't mess up either, they just play it safe and sound the same in the whole record for both vocalists and that's the big letdown. Lyrically not bad, but since they play it safe with the way they sing, it becomes harder to get the lyrics without looking them up.
Asking Alexandria - Asking Alexandria Genre: Post-hardcore The album is boring as fuck, such a disappointment Polyphia - The Most Hated (EP) Genre: Instrumental rock / progressive rock Sigrid - Don't Kill My Vibe (EP) Genre: Pop / electropop
The xx - Coexist Genre: Indie Pop This album is good as all their records, but their discography is all the same thing over and over again, they could try to experiment with different sounds.
Silverstein - Dead Reflection Genre: Post-hardcore Highly Suspect - The Boy Who Died Wolf Genre: Alternative rock
Linkin Park - "One More Light Live" Genre: Alternative Rock Dream Theater - "Train of Thought" Genre: Progressive Metal / Heavy Metal
In Hearts Wake - Ark [(Melodic-) Metalcore] In Hearts Wake - Skydancer [(Melodic-) Metalcore] In Hearts Wake - Earthwalker [(Melodic-) Metalcore]
Killswitch Engage - Alive or Just Breathing (Metalcore) Killswitch Engage - The End Of Heartache (Metalcore)
Queens of The Stone Age - Villains Genre: Alternative Rock; Hard Rock; Dance-Rock; Stoner Rock A very good album to introduce me to their music. Only didn't like one of the nine songs, but in most of it the vocals could have been a little bit better and the lyrics could have been easier to get with one listen, but the way it sounds as a whole is pretty good. This made me want to listen to Songs For The Deaf and Like Clockword at least.
