Something that came from the chatbox, but I want to know what you guys like to listen to during plane flights, whether it be day or night. Whether you fly a ton or have NEVER rode a plane before, post whatever you like to listen to for the flight here, albums/songs/both! I want to check them out too. I always get this very comforting and cool vibe whenever I listen to nightly plane music. The albums I mostly listen to on plane flights, though? Minutes to Midnight and A Thousand Suns, Coldplay's Ghost Stories, and The Fray's self-titled. Very good stuff to listen to at night while flying.
something peaceful along the lines of...
I listen to whatever music I want to that day. Usually my setting: car/plane/work/home/lake does not have any affect on what music I listen to.
For some reason, I love listening to "Up In The Air" by 30 Seconds to Mars during take-off, it makes me feel amazing. I hate that song otherwise.
When I was flying to Paris last year I listened to The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails. On my way back A Rush Of Blood To The Head by Coldplay. I put zero thought into it.
Really anything. Last time I was on a plane, I listened to this album, I found the cover kind of fitting :
All of BT's "This Binary Universe" - such a calm, relaxing album that's produced impeccably.
I don't have anything particular, whatever I'm in the mood for that day. When I'm on a transatlantic flight and trying to sleep (usually not too successfully) NIN Ghosts is my go to album because it's not too loud to prevent me from getting any modicum of rest yet loud enough to drown out the noise of the crying baby that's inevitably in the row behind me.
I've flown just one time. During the trip I listend to The Fragile by Nine Inch Nails. It's really the perfect album for anything though.
