^ That song is absolutely beautiful! HammerFall - In Memoriam It's a magnificent guitar-driven instrumental. I fell in love with it immediately, and our relationship lasted for quite a some time. In fact, I think it's still there, even though I don't really listen to HammerFall anymore (there was a time when I was really into power/heavy/symphonic metal). This song is just frigging amazing. It gives me strength and fills me with nostalgia. Nightwish - Ghost Love Score I don't really know how to explain my love for this one. This song is just utterly beautiful. I especially love all the symphonic and orchestral elements in it. I must confess that I haven't really tried to decipher the lyrics, though. Fort Minor - Slip Out the Back Usually I can't really relate to song lyrics very strongly (I don't know why, maybe I just never understand them!) but that's not the case with this song. Soon after hearing it for the first time, I found myself reading the lyrics over and over again and going through dozens of YouTube comments to see what kind of interpretations other people had. This song touches my heart. I feel like the lyrics are almost describing the person I once was. They remind me of a time I can't (and usually don't want to) go back to. I like this track musically, too, I think it's haunting and atmospheric.
1) Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End - The Beatles 2) In My Life - The Beatles 3) A Day in the Life - The Beatles simply because the Beatles is the best band of all time
Hmm... Placebo – "In the Cold Light of Morning" Alice in Chains – "Phantom Limb" White Lies – "Death" I love so many songs by Linkin Park that I just can't pick one.
I just have one: I get chills. Every time.
1. "Change" by Karnivool 2. "The Greener Grass" by Fair to Midland Anything after those two are in a constant state of flux. Those two will probably be in my top five for a long, long time. 3. Tied between "Sharing Space" by Cog, "Birthright" by Celldweller, and "Speed Me Towards Death" by Rob Dougan. At the moment anyway.
Not a big fan of their version. Coldplay's version is much more emotional IMO. Plus it was written by Chris Martin. Him singing it just seems right to me, and he has a way of emoting emotion that no other vocalist can top, at least in my opinion.
