what are your 'must haves' for the follow up to Meteora? to tell you the truth iam not that fussed. all i would like to see is where the tracks blend into eachother, i think that sounds sweet and mabe some dj interludes

and some tracks that can be mordern day anthems for the band like OSC, Crawling and In The End where for Hybrid Theory, and like SIB, Faint, Numb and Breaking The Habit where for Meteora. that would be nice

Id actually like to see them try something acoustic. Or maybe try another orchestra/piano track but without all the buzzing effects and stuff like that.

 

-I want them to get heavier with their music.

-Write better lyrics. (find better alternatives for the words pain, heal, wounds, etc...)

-Have Mike "sing" on a few songs, instead of rapping.

-15-17 songs, like Chris said.

-Their new cd to be longer than 37 minutes. Maybe 45-50 min?

-Dj interludes would be cool.

-One or two songs with an orchestra/piano, like Nate said.

 

I want to be more rock band instead of a rap band and more heavier.

I want their songs to be longer like 4 min instead of 3 min.

I want too Mike singing instead of raping.

And i would like more scriming!

 

so we want acoustic, loud screaming heavy songs, with an orchestra which are over 3:30 mins long

we dont ask for much

 

- Different producer for album or self-produced album
- An acoustic song or two (studio version of "The Morning After" maybe)
- 10-30 second guitar solos by Brad
- Mike singing (like on P5HNG ME AW*Y live)
- Mike on piano and guitar more
- Maybe a bass solo here and there
- 12-17 songs lasting more than two and a half minutes
- Violin/ cello work by Phoenix
- Guest appearance by Aaron Lewis
- More drum fills on songs
- Not a lot of screaming but some on one or two songs

If all this doesn't happen it would still be a great album

 

More Mike, more guitar solos. And another instrumental or two would be nice.

-More experimentation stylistically.

-Different song structures! Something OTHER then Verse/Chorus/Verse/Bridge/ChorusChorus.

-More specific lyrics. All of these songs about just being angry/hurt get kind of annoying. Let's add a little storyline to it. Plus one, just ONE song about being actually kind of happy.

 

Different formats, instrumental with more turntable, piano and/or string song, HARMONY, maybe a guitar solo.

I'd like to imagine how'd that sound like..
I barely hear any rock songs about being happy.

 

What other song structure can the do?

 

There's a crapload of different song structures that can be used. So far, Linkin Park has only used two. (verse/chorus/verse/chorus/bridge/chorusx2, and chorus/verse/chorus/verse/bridge[or interlude]/chorusx2)

 

- Heavier, more guitar and drums
- Less rap
- More screaming from Chester, more singing from Mike ( I wanna hear Brad sing)
- Try adding an orchestra..

I think all of those things have been said, but thats what I want anyway.

 

i'd like to see mike and joe do a little outro at the end of the album as well, something along the lines of 'And One,' well the end of that anyhow and more dj stuff

That would be very interesting, maybe an acoustic love song, wait that's a little cliché...

All I want is better lyrics and a different song structure. A different song structure could allow for more muscial creativity.
